Listening to it several times, you realize “For What It Is Worth” and “Masters” are just as relevant today as they were in the 1960’s.
Masters of War is raw and unapologetic. It is just as biting as when Dylan sang it on freewheelin’. It is hard to cover a Dylan protest song with as much venom as he spit originally, but I think Lucinda succeeds, making this version of MoW her own.
I had never heard “Bone of Contention” before listening to it here. I really like it. It has the same unrelenting guitar drive as “Masters of War” does. Lu’s answer to “Masters of War”? I think it could be.
These four songs work great with one another. VERY SOLID.

As far as I know and what Inside Job has said, it is going to be re-released early next year.Hopefully sometime they offer a full show of just the West album and Little Honey. That would be sweet!
The packaging doesn’t have a jewel case. It is printed card stock with the cd in a clear plastic tray.

LA shows just seem to have a little bit more energy to them. It isn’t a HUGE difference, but enough to favor one set over another.I was thinking about picking up “Cardinology” I haven’t bought a Ryan Adams album since “Rock n’ Roll”.
I was disappointed with a lot of his stuff after “Demolition”.Black Dog is. Cinnamon Girl isn’t. It also has a different version of “Well, Well, Well” on there.

It has the pic of Lucinda with the tape over her mouth on the cover.Just thought I’d add that this show was AWESOME. The best lucinda show I have ever been to was last year at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. This one comes in a VERY CLOSE second.
Great Setlist!One complaint: Lucinda wanted people up and dancing. We obliged and went closer to the stage only to be told to sit back down by the “crowd controll”. The Uptown venue was a little TOO STRICT. I even had to take my backpack back to the car before I was allowed in. It was ridiculous.
I bought the new “buick 6” album and it is great! I highly recommend it.
Got to talk to Charlie Louvin last night. He put on a really good show in southern Oklahoma.
Signed my lp and said he had a really good time recording on the record.If anyone hasn’t seen a Charlie Louvin concert, I highly recommend it.
I am going. Heading up Monday afternoon. I haven’t been there since Dylan played in 2002.
I was going to the Nashville show, but couldn’t. This is as close as she gets until next year.
