This was an fantastic show! I came down from Stillwater Oklahoma early Friday. Got into town early enough to try out “Salt Lick BBQ”. Always heard good things and they were right.Very good stuff.

The doors opened at 8:00 and I got up front. The setlist was awesome. A little something from every album. With the songs from “Ramblin” and “Happy Woman Blues”, no one can say she isn’t singing the older songs on this tour. I never would have imagined I would get to hear “Motherless Children” and “Happy Woman Blues” in the same show. Hearing them made me come right home and give both albums a new listen.

The Faces cover of “Every Picture Tells A Story” was really good. So good, it should be offered as a download in the LW Store. hint hint.
What was the blues cover she did at the beginning of the encore? I wasn’t familiar with it.

Go see this tour if you get a chance. The energy is great, the setlists are great and the sound is great! Hopefully she will be coming around again this summer or fall.

The released. The unreleased sounds more like outtakes to me. They are nice to listen to, to compare and contrast.

Is the Re issue of the self-titled still coming out the first of 2009?

That jacket was terrible. I kept looking at it during the dvd. That and the bad outfits in the audience. 😆

Just listened to my DVD today. WOW. It sounds really good. “Wild and Blue” is terrific.
I wish they would release this on cd.

It says she has had three ACL appearances. Are they talking about the 1989, 1998 and 2007 appearances?

I posted this question in the other section, but was “Little Honey” put out too late to be considered for nominations?

It would be very cool to get rare live songs or unreleased songs in the “downloads”. 8)

    1) Shows that would have a chronological setlist like the second set of the first show in Mpls or the show in Madison (1-10) (8) I like this idea, as long as the songs from each album where mixed up a bit.

    2) Shows that would have split sets -with the first set being ballads etc, a break, and then the second set being rock (1-10) (2) I really like a good mix of songs. Just personal opinion.

    3) Similar to number 2– in larger cities where we could do it or where the right venue exists–doing two nights, with the first night being the ballads etc and the second night more rock (1-10)
    (2) Same reason as #2

    4) Closing the year with a return of the album shows -probably only in one city (1-10)
    (10) Love this idea. Please do it somewhere in the middle of the country. Chicago or St. Louis.

    5) Don’t change anything -I like the shows as they are. (1-10)
    (9) I like the way the shows are now, but switching the format is fun and exciting every now and then.

In a different and more general category:
    1) To offset the venues that charge Ticketmaster fees -we are considering offering those fees back as a credit at the merch table -does this have appeal (1-10)
    (10) Awesome Idea.

    2) Being aware of the past fan club fiasco- does a fan club hold any appeal if it made sense and had value? (1-10)
    (10) I would be willing to sign up. Didn’t sign up in the last fan club. In my opinion some of the perks should be:
    1. Meet and Greets.
    2. Exclusive digital downloads.
    3. Ticket buying oppourtunities.
    4. Exclusive posters.

    3) The possibility of being able to buy tickets before the general public -(possibly as part of a fan club?) (1-10)
    (10) This would be a good perk on the fan club, but this shouldn’t be the only perk attached to being a member of the fan club.

    4) More live releases -(possibly as part of a fan club?) (1-10)
    (10) YES! Would love to have a full show of West Songs and Little Honey Songs!
4a) Digital only (1-10) (10) I would think this would be more cost effective than having create printed artwork and to press cds.
    4b) Prefer cd (1-10) (5)

    5) What cities have we missed? Tulsa, Oklahoma City (i’d love to see Lu play the Blue Door), Dallas, Wichita. Oh and Stillwater, Oklahoma. 8)
