Welcome to the forum!
parkercaParticipantIt wasn’t something I thought could be implemented tomorrow but over a span of a year or so to get forum members involved.
It was just an idea I thought I’d throw out there. Obviously don’t know the ins and outs of the music biz.parkercaParticipantI joined “Lost Highway Records Street Team” in March and have really enjoyed it. Gives you a lot of opportunity to earn free music and Lost Highway artist merchandise plus get the word out to others about new music.
This is just my opinion, but I think a system similar to this would work great just for the Lu community. We could earn merchandise, tickets or meet and greets. Anyone else have any thoughts?
parkercaParticipantTom O, thanks for posting the info on the book and the covers. I love song origin stories.
Don’t Let The Devil Ride is a great song. I hope Lu continues to cover it.parkercaParticipanthahaha Lucinda knows how to bring the storms. that’s for sure.
parkercaParticipantI understand there is a hole in the wall back stage where Sid Vicious punched it.
parkercaParticipantGreat report Stoger. I guess I was one night off on getting a blues cover. Lucinda always works up the best blues covers.
Last time I saw Lu at Crossroads, Louvin opened up for her and the weather was terrible. I seriously thought a tornado was coming. If memory serves, that show was postponed for a while until the weather passed.
parkercaParticipantThat is frustrating. Another big pet peeve of mine are the hordes of concert goers that think they need to record the ENTIRE SHOW on their smart phones. I’m guilty of a photo or short video here and there but not the entire show. Can’t wait to print off all those high quality phone pics. uggg 🙄
parkercaParticipantStoger, I also wanted to add the story of the drunk guy with the lp and sharpie walking pass the barricade and almost to the back door of Cains. He did this TWICE. I’m not sure what he was thinking. Probably not much being so drunk. He asked for direction to OKC after the show. He might still be in Tulsa. lol
It was nice to be able to walk around the venue and not have wall to wall crowd. Sunday night with Wilco, you barely had enough room to breath.
Cains is way too quick to kick people out. They want your money and then put you out the door. It was a little much, but they are notorious for closing shop early.
Stoger, have a safe trip to Kansas City. I need to hit the road and meet up with you and Tom sometime down the line.
parkercaParticipantGreat show last night at Cains. Cains did not sell out which really surprised me. My wife and I got up next to the barricade. Good spot.
Also met up with Stoger and Coffee4thRoad. Great seeing you guys. That was as much fun as the show.
The setlist was:

Get Right With God (Blake does an awesome job with this song. Great Closer)parkercaParticipantThat would be very cool. Lu and Tom are going to need a LONG vacation after all the touring this year.
but not too long, cause we all need shows to look forward to next year. 😉
parkercaParticipantWilco was GREAT! Got there early so I could get a bench at the side instead of front row. I guess that means I’m getting old. lol
Great show but I’m paying for it today.parkercaParticipantThat’s awesome that Charlie Sexton was there! I need to make it to one of her New Orleans shows one of these days.
parkercaParticipantahh man, wish you could make it. I was looking forward to meeting you.
Maybe this fall Lucinda will come back around and you can go then.parkercaParticipant6 days and counting til the show! Wilco on Sunday and Lu on Tuesday. Going to be an EXCELLENT week. 😀 😀 😀
