Nice report, as always Stoger. It was good seeing you again. I hope you made it safely to your next destination and I look forward to reading your future reports from wherever the road takes you.
It was a real nice turnout and a very enthusiastic audience at The Pageant on Wednesday night. Lu sounded great and was in fine form. I am so impressed by the way Butch, David & Blake keep taking their interpretations of the songbook to the next level. I particularly enjoyed Blake’s playing on the new song, “Stowaway”; he sounded alot like Ry Cooder.

    Kudos to OTR as well.

I guess art, as well as beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I thought the show started well then lagged for a couple of songs but then finished strongly starting with Little Rock Star. I certainly do not feel that Lu mailed it in. Not even close.

My thoughts exactly, Tom. I have been to over a dozen shows at the Park West and this was my 10th Lucinda show. There was something special in that room from the outset. The sound was incredible. Lu sounded great and so did the band. Get Right With God was amazing. On a side note, my wife won our tickets from you on Facebook. It also happened to be our 28th wedding anniversary. It was a night we will always remember.

Yes, I remember, tn Tracy–though let me clarify one thing from this stream: Beatle Bob is undeniably NOT a Spanish fan. The guy’s thoroughly middle America, despite his haircut and alliterative moniker. One seems him at Midwestern shows and music fests galore, and maybe a bit beyond, but I don’t think he’s been spotted on the Iberian Peninsula.

That is too funny. Beatle Bob lives in St. Louis. He seems to be ubiquitous but I am unaware of any foreign appearances.

Nice to have met you too Stoger. I might see you St. Louis. For those of you making the trip, Obama’s favorite pizza (PI) is right next door to The Pageant.

Thanks for posting this Dave. What a great show! She and the boys really had their acts together tonight. I was fortunate to have attended all 3 shows. I truly enjoyed every minute. I loved the format and the venue. Tonight’s show was simply outstanding.

    Go Dawgs!!

Good show last night. The Park West is one of my favorite Chicago venues. Not a bad seat in the house and good acoustics. We got there early to get a good seat on the floor. I hope they do not open up the dance floor since we have similar plans tonight and tomorrow night…and I am too old to stand for the entire 3+ hour show. Those going to The Pageant in St. Louis on Saturday night won’t be disappointed either. Another excellent venue.
