Third show announced today for Austin.

Have to juggle some dog sitting days (wife and daughter out of town), but well worth the kennel price if I can hit three shows on one trip!

It appears Austin is still on the schedule (Isbell’s and the venue’s, cause no timely updates for Lu’s ;0 ) for Aug. 7th & 8th??

Two indoor shows, if they are still a go.
I would consider now a trip to Austin, but tickets aren’t coming up or showing sold out.
    Anyone planning on these??

Thanks for the heads up Tony.

Updated info today on the Isbell/Lu Dallas show scheduled for Aug 6th.
Location/venue has changed to Ft. Worth. Existing tickets will be honored at new venue.
    .
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, TX on August 6th with Lucinda Williams.

    Great News!! Thanks Tony.
Also- For Lu, I’ve learned to consider the entire West Coast, “near me” 😉
    See ya in Irvine!!

Isbell seems to be keeping his site fairly current, and he still lists all the Lu shows while making note of the cancelations.

Checked the venue sites for the shows I’m hoping for- Orpheum (Van) *closed until further notice-* (tickets still avail),
Paramount (SEA) still has it still listed, tix available as does The Warfield (SF).
Red Rocks just announced full capacity shows will resume June 21 (!!)
*perhaps mentioned earlier, but Tedeschi Trucks Band is playing their usual two night stand just prior to Isbell/Lu’s.
They will be doing scaled down (from their usual 15 piece band) shows. Shows tba soon.

Live shows will go on, hopefully with Lu, would love an update from her soon.

Agree Roger..about being perhaps overly optimistic, as well as not getting too pumped up advice.

Some of the tix, I bought last year.. the Vancouver and Seattle shows. Could have had them refunded, but chose to ride it out.
Realize the show(s) could go on without Lu, as well as there being a decent chance of more cancellations. I have had done fairly well in terms of getting refunds of other cancelled shows and am not too concerned, especially as they are all single ticket purchases. I also figure that as hot as live music, (if it happens), will be, the Isbell tix should hopefully be an easy resell.

Red Rocks ticket was my biggest concern as they are currently limiting crowd size (2500?) and those with existing tix will have priority, as well as wanting to get down close to the stage as those tix go very quickly. The Warwick in San Francisco tickets were a concern for the same reasons essentially. That and those tix are general admission standing in front of the stage.. my favorite!

    Signed,
    Optimistic (near) Seattle. 😉

Sorry to hear about the Greek Theatre show getting cancelled Tony.

Wasn’t going to make it that far south for this, but I hope this isn’t the beginning of cancellations…
Just checked Isbell’s site and see the San Diego show is also cancelled. It was recently updated with this info so I’m assuming the tour hasn’t been shelved. Also noticed that the Greek Theatre shows were mostly all cancelled prior to Aug 1st. Perhaps a Southern Cal or LA issue related to Covid restrictions??

Have tix in hand for the two San Francisco shows, Seattle, Red Rocks and Vancouver. (tix still avail for all)
Thinking seriously about the Montana festival as well. Doubtful that even if the Vancouver show is a go, that the border will be opened back up to non-essential travel by that time, so an all Canadian audience, or a cancellation perhaps for that.

Great show.. Really great song selection and Lu’s vocals were perfect for them.
Awesome all around.. Stuart’s slide work and all the guitars were rockin’ Well done.
Was obvious that Lu seemed to be really enjoying the songs and the results.

    Setlist for 11-15
(show relocated inside due to tent wind damage)

    Protection
    Can’t Let Go
    Drunken Angel
    Pineola
    People Talking
    Lake Charles
    Fruits Of My Labor
    Everything Has Changed
    Blue
    Are You Down
    Those Three Days
Pray The Devil Back To Hell
    Change The Locks
    Essence
    Righteously
    Honey Bee
    Joy

    Take Me To The River
    Get Right With God

Was a bit of an up and down night starting with the relocation inside.
Several false starts as Lu struggled with the new monitor tech. She rolled with it well, but after a few of them, along with an out of tune guitar, f- bombs were dropped.

Seating was nicely spaced and the room with it’s extremely high ceiling was comfortable.
Wasn’t “full”, and I witnessed several understandably declining the switch to inside.

Enjoyed both shows very much, great to hang out with Roger as well as meet Lafayette and her husband. For several reasons (none I could legitimately rationalize) this trip wasn’t cancelable once I committed, and wouldn’t book if it was today or even the last couple weeks, but not regretting it (yet… I know 😉

Coming from the area of the country with the first case and outbreak, I have been extremely cautious with virus issues up until this trip. Last live show I attended was Lu’s in October and it was just so good to get a couple shows before returning to self quarantining, home schooling and isolating.

Already looking forward to post vaccine shows next year.
