Heard from a friend (via the venue’s member email announcements) that Lu will be playing The Cabot Theater in Beverly, MA on April 28th.
Not listed on their website yet, but likely will be soon.

Hoping for some accompanying dates also to be announced soon!

Also ordered the signed copy from B & N..

Came up short to qualify for free shipping.. but found they also had most of Lu’s Jukebox CD’s.
Added the Christmas one to the order to qualify for the free shipping. Win win 馃檪

What a great show this was I thought.
Lu really weathered the cold well, with the help of some hand warmers that she marveled about and later a scarf.

Great to see Tony and Grumpymama, after Stoger and I drove in from LA where we also travelled down to Irvine for her festival set.
Which was a bit of a rocky outing with the sun shining directly in Lu’s eyes making it difficult to read the monitor.

While there were very few hiccups in the set, when there was a couple moments where Lu had difficulty, the band really rallied and they all played through it, including at one point Butch softly singing the vocals, keeping the song on track. The band and crew that I could see from the sidelines were so supportive, it was great to see.

The show, setting, and company were all just fantastic in the desert.
Till next time, and after this show I now have no doubt there will be many, many more next times..

Was a little concerned with the Lu adopting Isbell’s “vax or proof or we don’t play” policy going forward, that Pappy and Harriets’ might choose to not require it.

    Not the case though. Whew.
    From their site:

“In the interest of keeping our guests and staff protected and healthy, Pappy + Harriet鈥檚 will now require all attendees of upcoming shows to show proof of either a full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 PCR test result.

All attendees will be required to show one of the following for entry at Pappy + Harriet鈥檚 along with a government issued ID:

    路 Your vaccine card
路 A clear and legible photocopy of your vaccine card
路 Photo of your vaccine card on your phone
路 A digital vaccine passport or record
路 A negative COVID-19 PCR test result obtained within 72 hours of the event

In addition, we are asking all patrons to do the following while on site: Comply with the Pappy + Harriet鈥檚 Fan Health Pledge and wear a mask whenever indoors.”

    Fantastic night.

Lu really seemed to be in excellent spirits, and her voice strong.
The outpouring of support from the fans after Lu shared the reason for her sitting, getting assistance on stage etc., was fantastic to see.

    Bring on night 2!

    Yes, Thanks Stoger!
Of all the reports you’ve dispatched, this one is going in my “favorites” file.

Scoped out Isbell’s twitter to catch any comments on the show and saw “event specific” tees and posters for the show.
Thought this one was pretty cool, not sure if you saw (I’m a sucker for event specific merch).

Have a blast at Red Rocks!!
Was following Tedeschi Trucks show from there last night, and they had to clear the venue due to thunderstorms apparently.
(they resumed after an hour break or so)
Have got caught up in that at one of their shows there before.. bring a poncho!
