marclaffParticipant
I don’t get the trip : Dresden (16th) – Vitoria (17Th) – Munich (19th) in 3 days.
Even by plane, it will be difficult to do it…
Tom??marclaffParticipantThere is a date for Paris on the first of july : L’Alhambra
marclaffParticipantYES, two tix general admission for both nights in London.
Coming from Chateauroux via Paris, France.
Last Lucinda’s show for me was Le Trabendo in 20??.marclaffParticipantNo show in France 😯
Brussels is on the 6th or the 7th?
marclaffParticipantFrom Bruxelles on the 6th to Barcelona on the 13th, you have to cross France.
Paris is on the way…marclaffParticipantThank you Tom, very interessing.
Nice to read a song like “righteously” was not really right, i wrote it on this board some time ago.
At least i’m not the only one.
About the collaboration “with one of the biggest rock bands in the land“, did you mean Australia?
French kiss to the Lady,
MarcmarclaffParticipantQuote “I found his renditions of “Car Wheels”, “Copenhagen”, “Jackson”, “Bus to Baton Rouge” and many others to be quite intriguing.”
I agree with you : i like “intriguing”.
But does it mean nice, sweet, charming to your ears?
But if you are intrigued, you must ask yourself about something, isn’t?
What does he play, why playing that?May be “intriguing” is a false friend in french meaning something very different.
marclaffParticipantGood news for me.
Blake is very talentuous but doesn’t fit with Lu.
I couln’t understand his playing too often. Why avoid the pentatonic scales?Lucinda has a great talent : she writes wonderful and simple songs.
I don’t want to hear some myloxydian or whatsoever complicated scales on it.
For the new songs it was (most of the time) OK.
For the Dylan’s song, the progression was perfect.
For some old “newly arranged” songs (a la Steal your love) interessing ideas.
Beside, for the other old songs, it was unfitted and sometimes painful to my ears!
Essence, Righteously and Out of Touch were bad but the worst was Carwheels.
The solo in Ventura (the town) on Blessed is laughable : but “quelle merde pompeuse” as we say in french.
So welcome to the newby.
Frenchly, MarcmarclaffParticipantGet up stand up, don’t give up the fight (The Wailers)

and one more (may be Righteously?)marclaffParticipantJust received a phone call from my daughter : the show was fantastic, the new guitarist is a God, Lucinda was in voice and they played Unsuffer me.
Other songs : Can’t let go, well well well, people talkin’, 5 from Blessed, i lost it and moremarclaffParticipantSweet love = G Bm Am (wonderful chords)
Blessed = E A (so simple, the ultimate song)marclaffParticipantThanks for the set list
Can you tell more about the song : Undamned (never heard of that one)marclaffParticipantI got the two shows (1984 & 1986) on CDR, the sound is not FM.
By the way, i knew the song “that’s how i got to Memphis” by a french singer Eddy Mitchell “sur la route de Memphis” from early 70’s. -
