Just released Kenny’s debut album V.
From his web site watch Kenny and Marty Stuart perform the title song. “Country Music Got a Hold on Me”
    http://kennyvaughan.net/
And you can stream the entire album from this site.

To me he looks the same as when he appeared with Lucinda on the ACL DVD.

OK, let’s put the ball point pens to rest for the Town Ballroom in Buffalo 11/6/11.
I phoned the venue and talked with the Manager.
He said no problem about bringing a pen for an adult show like Lucinda’s.
He said they had trouble a while back with kids writing on the wall.
Point and shoot cameras are OK.
My mini recorder, he said to call back closer to show time to see if OK.
I also asked him about parking since the venue is on Main Street which is only for pedestrians and bus traffic.
Anyone going to the show park on Washington Street.

FINALLY, I got my ticket today thru Tickets.com for will call.
    Very abusive fees.
    Ticket $30.00
    Fees 7.50
    Order processing fee 3.25
    Grand Total $40.75

I’m still waiting on West Words to sneak a pen in old-school and test the confiscatory skills of the powers-that-be. Do these guys moonlight as security at Bills’ games?

That is just the craziest restriction ever, but I’ll bet there was an ‘incident’ that caused the rule. I wonder if a crayon could be a loophole…

Just bring a list of Lucinda’s songs, and a sheet of numbered sticker-dots (like art galleries use to key paintings/photos to the artist list). Then, affix a dot to the list, as each song is performed.

Not bad, but Lu’s potential song list could be very, very long, and there might be surprise covers thrown in…

tonyg wrote: Do like I did at the Viper Room. Painstakingly add all the song titles to your memo app on your cell phone and then forget to save it.

    And then just ask Stoger.

Tony, I didn’t know they got zapped. I was so impressed with your high tech approach…

Stoger must take a lot of ginkgo. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Might as well throw a new twist on this thread.
I thank everyone for their suggestions on a setlist for the Town Ballroom gig in Buffalo and have to agree paul_from_losangeles has a good method but then West Words counters that with all the covers Lu has done and then of course Lucinda has a habit of sneaking in something unexpected.
So, here are my two workaround possibilities.
I own a Sony IC mini recorder half the size of my hand.
    Here’s a pic.[attachment=0:1sqfr2fo]Sony recorder.jpg[/attachment:1sqfr2fo]

    Now comes a second alternative:
At concert’s end approach Kevin, Nick or Eric F. and ask them to rip the set list off the floor.
This worked for me in Toronto Oct./09 and got the thing autographed by Lucinda and the full band(except for Butch) by the tour bus.
By the way, looks like cameras are ok at the Ballroom.

THANK YOU!!! Tom and Lu for coming to the Town Ballroom.

A little review on the Town Ballroom.
    QUOTE”

    ยท PENS NOT ALLOWED!!!

That’s right, if you’re coming to watch a band at the Town Ballroom, leave your ballpoint pen at home. The bouncer will snatch it right out of your hand with nary an explanation. Don’t worry, though, your prescription and non-prescription drugs will go unnoticed.

That aside, I loved this venue. It’s exactly what I wished a venue in Las Vegas was like. The place is pretty big… holds about 1000 people, but there’s no bad spot in the house. Wherever you are, there’s no bad place to watch the band. I was hoping for seats since I’m an old man, but hey, I’ll take a great view of the band over being comfortable when Minus The Bear is the one taking the stage.

Bonus points for me going to the bar and ordering a water, expecting to pay $2 or $3 and having the bartender hand me a glass of water for free. And he didn’t seem put out that I wasn’t buying a drink, either.

I’ll probably never see a show here again, unfortunately, but I wish I could.
    End Quote”

Now the BIG question since it’s a standing only venue and no pens allowed.
How am I gonna create a set list ? I don’t have the memory of stoger where he can rattle off the songs instantly.
Maybe stoger (aka The Road Warrior) will attend Buffalo and the problem will be solved. ๐Ÿ˜†

Have a listen to Kasey with HWB from PBS 106.7 FM radio in Victoria, Australia
Click on the player and move up to the 105.25 minute and enjoy.
You have to listen to the first few minutes before you can move the player forward.

Found this discussion forum on our gal Lucinda going to sea in Feb./12 on the Cayamo Cruise.
The forum is the Stardust Theatre and lists 2 pages of discussion on Lu.
    Love this one quote:

That would be amazing. On the first Cayamo, Emmy Lou said “Lu might be tough to get out of her bus”. And said “maybe they could get the bus on the boat. ๐Ÿ˜†

Talk about a complex workaround for the music.
I need a US IP address, etc.
Not sure if I can manouvre all this on the above link for 20 hours per month of “free” music”.
Heck, this Forum gives me substantially more than 20 hours of great tunes to explore in 1/2 a month.
