I’m not, repeat not a member of FB stoger but I can view Lucinda’s page and get a lot of info.
OK here’s the scoop from Fort Lauderdale.

Thank you to Lucinda & her band … WE were blessed tonight at Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale.

    · Lucinda is the best. Just saw her at Parker Playhouse in Ft. Lauderdale. She was incredible, her vocal power is not possible to dublicate on a CD. Its hard to put in words how dominating her performance was. Just outstanding. Thank you Lucinda for an unforgettable night.

Derek Trucks of the Allman Bros was a guest drummer for 2 songs. I did miss Doug Pettibone who I think is a world class guitarist, but her current band was excellent. The drummer reminded me of John Bonham of Zep, powerful and loud but perfectly in tune with Lucinda and the band.

amazing show in ft. lauderdale thursday night!…great surprise guest, butch trucks from the allman brothers to drum on the last couple of songs…and you singing “cross to bear” was a thing of beauty to behold!…we waited outside the venue for a long time, people that worked at the playhouse, your bandmates, and the roadies thought you would come out sooner…we met you before, we just wanted to see you and thank you for a great show…maybe next time!

    · Dear Ms. Williams,
Thanks to you and Buick 6. You made me happy; it was an amazing show in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks for making it affordable, and also, you looked great. My husband and I were in the fourth row and agreed on this as fact.

p.s.1. Derek Trucks was not there, it was his Uncle Butch Trucks.

Can you go directly to You Tube and search Lucinda Williams in the past week ?
The NPR full audio ( 2&1/2 hours ) of the AMA Awards is still on here:

I have saved Lu’s “Blessed” You Tube to my Real Player and if you still don’t have any luck DrWinston send me a PM and I would be happy to share this performance to you via email.

OR try the “No Depression” article I just posted below.

By “rare”, I mean songs she has written or performed on a compilation disc, but rarely performed live.
For example “Lafayette” from “Happy Woman Blues” OR “Gentle On My Mind” from “Talladega Nights”

Mine are (in no particular order):

    1. Hang Down Your Head “World Without Tears Bonus Track”
    2. Howling At Midnight “Happy Woman Blues”
    3. Gentle On My Mind (Talladega Nights)
    4. Satisfied Mind “Ramblin'”
    5. Two of Us (Lucinda and Doug)
    6. Cold, Cold Heart “Tribute to Hank Williams”
    7. Like A Rose “Lucinda Williams”
    8. Nothin’ “Tribute to Townes Van Zandt”
    9. Memphis Pearl “Sweet Old World”
    10. He Never Got Enough Love “Sweet Old World”

Re: Song No.8 “Nothin'”[attachment=0:1mw0u9io]Poet A Tribute to Townes Van Zandt.jpg[/attachment:1mw0u9io]

“Nothing” features the vocals of Lucinda Williams. This song, which is about the troubles of life, is one of those goose bump-raising tunes. “Sorrow And Solitude, These are the precious things and the only words that are worth remembering,” Lucinda sings mournfully.

Let’s have a listen to this one just uploaded.

Maybe Tom O could convince Lu to do this very haunting song on Fall Tour 2011.

I thought Lu was most gracious in accepting recalling her first guitar at age 12, thanking her current band as the best ever and felt very rewarded in helping to discover new and emerging artists. She got a little choked up at the end of her speech when mentioning Tom Overby.

Hey Lafayette, I managed to stay up late for Jay Leno. Did the clock on your stove alert you to watch as well ?
I hope you got your email fixed to steer Amos out of your SPAM.
Along with you and the other three Road Warriors, have a great trip to the Ryman for the AMA’s tomorrow.

I’m hoping for the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto that Pieta joins Amos on stage for “Out of the Cold”.

A fan’s report on the show.
    QUOTE”
OutSTANDING! I have to confess that I went with a bit of trepidation. A big Lucinda fan for many years, I had started to worry that her most recent efforts indicated a trend toward becoming a caricature of her own down-home self. And a few YouTube clips of recent live shows suggested a lackadaisical slide into a presumed heroine of her own song “Drunken Angel.” But last night at Juanita’s, she perFORMED! Maybe she was fired up by the political goings on (there were several references to the OWS movement, as well as a brazen hope that “the Republicans just shot themselves in their collective foot”). Maybe she was inspired by Juanita’s new digs (though I respectfully disagree, she pronounced it a great venue two or three times). Or, maybe, she just knows where she comes from. Of course, the crowd responded at each lyrical mention of an Arkansas town name. And she referenced her dad’s position at U of A-Fayetteville. But the “coming home” sentimentality was never so obvious as when she sent an admiring shoutout to her cousin Rep. Kathy Webb. I couldn’t help but get the feeling that Lu wrapped up a very special present to the denizens of Little Rock last night, showing her respect for a place that’s still special to her.
    End Quote”
