This was the concert Lucinda was surprised that it was being recorded and the same AVO Session that produced an unauthorized DVD which Tom O. investigated thru Universal Music.
Anyway it’s now on You Tube in 3 parts for all of us to enjoy.
There is some slick camera work and is of high quality.
    Enjoy.

I’m not sure if stoger stayed long enough at Proud Larry’s to hear the following new songs from the upcoming album “Arrow”.
These are excellent videos from a private concert at the Do512 Lounge in south Austin and continue to demonstrate Erika’s strong vocals.
I like them so much that they now are safely downloaded in my Real Player library.

    First up is “Parted Ways”

    Followed by “Simple Feeling”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11shjslpezA
    And “Late in the Night”

    Enjoy you HB fans.

LeftyThe British chanteuse Marianne Faithfull first rose to fame in 1964, when her rendition of the Rolling Stones tune wrote:
Here’s an oldie music video from 1964 of the song complete with Marianne on horseback and an afternoon stroll with Mick.

Really a nice podcast karolina, thanks for posting.
    Lu’s voice sounds great.
I wonder if the 2 songs will end up on one of Chip’s albums as Chip and Lu’s duets go back a long way to 1999 on Chip’s album “Seven Days in May”as well as a couple more albums in the early 2000’s.

Glad you enjoyed the evening stoger.
That’s a mighty looooong wait from 9:00 to 11:55 for the set to commence.
Did you check out Proud Larry’s menu while loitering about?
Sure hope I don’t face the same situation being barely 19+ also while seeing them in Toronto on a Monday night in Feb./12 and then reporting for work early Tues. a.m.
“Blue Day” is one of my favorites also but “Sway” from the “Mountain” continues to be #1 until we see what’s on the new album.
Glad you were able to chat with Erika, I found her delightfully shy when I met her in Toronto 2 years ago at the Kool Haus.

I look forward to catching this show at 20th Century. Many great venues on this tour. Perhaps the stoger can squeeze in Mercy Lounge in Nashville.

Hey Lafayette, from the Hb’s FB today, show on 2/17/11 is now at the Madison in Covington, KY rather than @ the 20th Century.

Nashville? Nashville? Why wait until 2012? If I can sneak in around the 18+ stipulation lwj mentioned, I’m good for Proud Larry’s of Oxford, TONIGHT

Hey Prof. stoger(just barely meeting the age stipulation) enjoy the show if you go and report back.
    Thanks.

It’s incredible to be honored three years in a row for a Grammy nomination.
Now we have to make sure Tom O. has booked a return flight on February 12, 2012 from Miami back to LA as the Cayamo cruise ends at approx. 8:00 a.m.in Miami and the Grammy Awards take place the same day.

Any explanation for the left handed thing? Is the video reversed somehow? 😕

Somehow the video was “flipped, bubbles added along with a flame to disguise the video for copy write reasons as punchdrunklove was unable to upload his (I presume a right-handed version).
Anyway the guitar Lu was playing belonged to John Jackson-He played it in Lu’s Live from ACL DVD on the Lake Charles song.
    Here’s a pic of John’s one of a kind resno electric[attachment=0:z4vxx13f]John Jackson Resno Electric-Lu played on SNL.jpg[/attachment:z4vxx13f]

’89 in europe, so never mind. thank you. where did you find this? i basically trusted my (insanely comprehensive) bootleg library, but now i see it’s not that comprehensive after all.

pdl, take a peek at the Lucinda Williams Resource Site under the INFO tab on Lu’s site.
All kinds of good stuff there.

    For example.

    GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL, U.K. – 1989 – BBC-FM – Disgusted / Wild & Blue / Dark Side Of Life / Nothin’ In Ramblin’ / Passionate Kisses ( 18 min.)

BBC RADIO – Something About What Happens When We Talk / Wild & Blue / Sundays / Disgusted

EFFENAAR EINDHOVEN, Holland – FM – 1989 – (30) – ex – I Just Wanted To See You So Bad / Big Red Sun Blues / Am I Too Blue / Crescent City / Wild & Blue / The Night’s Too Long / Something About What Happens When We Talk / Sundays

Also the Eindhoven remaster was supposed to be a bonus on the self-titled release as per below post under records.
