Yes, Doug’s humerous side is very evident in the video.
Betcha Lucinda makes a guest appearance or two on this one as she did on “The West Gate”.
Also I much prefer The Love Band name over the name Buick 6 ( There are at least 5 or 6 other bands named Buick 6).

I’m sure Doug will reach his fundraising goal in no time.

As the web site notes, “residents of Canada and the states of Florida, Georgia, California, and Ohio are ineligible for entry.”

Hmmmmmm. But not Tennessee, eh? ๐Ÿ˜†

    Tom

That is correct, sir. Forgot to mention that upstate New Yorkers are excluded too, L. ๐Ÿ˜€

I submitted my entry to the Acoustic Cafe via e-mail and added a brief message as follows:
    :
    Pick me !
Certain Lucinda Williams forum members from CA, OH,TN,GA,FL and NY live much further from Ann Arbor than me. Why, I can drive there in 3 hours from Canada and probably only require $200.00 in travel expenses out of your $1,000.00 budget. Besides, these forum members have attended a lot more Lucinda gigs than me.
    Thanks for your consideration.

    Great photos, Tom.
I was curious about the venue so Carrie’s web site lead me to “Grocery on Home”[attachment=0:27mr3t4y]Grocery on Home.jpg[/attachment:27mr3t4y]
A converted grocery store / home for the proprietors- BYOB venue with a pass the hat collection for the artists. How did you find out about this show ?
I much prefer these smaller venues over a 20,000 seat arena etc.and have found a few in my neck of the woods.
Carrie did tour earlier this year to western Canada.
    I always enjoy your reviews.

Hey Lafayette, I’m sure you also received an email from Amos re: New Year’s Eve in Greensboro, NC opening for the Avett Brothers.

I believe you had reported earlier under JM that you had an 8 hour driving limit to attend a show.
By my search you have 10 minutes to spare from Cinci. ๐Ÿ˜†

Great reporting Blessed, Dr winston and Blue Koyote.
The acoustics sounds great on “Fruits of My Labor” with Doug P. doing double duty (guitar & harmonica)

    Enjoy the video.

It may not be the kind of show to do requests, but if I may be as bold Lucinda,
please do Copenhagen and Ugly Truth at least once each over the two nights.

    Thank you.

I agree Dr. Winston,Copenhagen is one of my favorites.
You have had a long wait since this weekend with Lu was first announced.

Hey stoger, I don’t know if you are a fan of Anne’s music ( however with all the Lu shows you have attended you probably saw her open for Lucinda in 2007 ) so here’s a no cover show in Nashville.

    Event Information
6:30 In The Round with Anne Mccue, Ashleigh Flynn, Reckless Johnny Wales and Amelia White, no cover

    In the Round

    The Bluebird Cafe
    Friday, Nov 16, 2012 6:30 PM
$7 Food and Beverage Minimum ***Parties of 6 or more will be charged an automatic 20% gratuity.

Tickets per order – Minimum: 1 Maximum: 15
    The Bluebird on TV.
On October 10, 2012 The Bluebird Cafe made its primetime debut on the ABC drama Nashville. The Bluebird Cafe is a key factor in the showโ€™s plotline which deals with both the music industry in Nashville, the political climate in Nashville and the key players in both these โ€œworlds,โ€ which often collide. Nashville the city is also showcased in the beautiful cinematography of the show each week.

EDIT: Oops Now I see you are a big fan of Anne’s after a review of prior posts.
