I am not familiar with HB except from one of the concert poster of Lu’s I’ve collected…
But… as luck would have it.. I will be catching the Bob Seger (walk down memory lane with a buddy) concert in Phoenix the night before Lu’s show in Tuscon!! Got great seats, and am now looking forward to the show that much more.
    Thanks for the info!- Mike

Mike, you should have an outstanding 2 niter in AZ with Bob, Erika and Lucinda.

The HB’s originally from Ohio now reside in Austin.
I have been to three of their concerts and you won’t be disappointed.

Appreciate it if you could report on their concert, especially any new songs coming up.
I thought I would pick one of my favorite songs from their album The Mountain.
Song is called “SWAY”( You know stoger was chastised in Clearwater, FL for swaying).
This You Tube demonstrates Erika’s powerful vocals.

    Good news Lefty et al.

We’ve finished up the new album! The band is extremely proud of it, and can’t wait to get it out there to you. We’re in process of setting up a release date and making plans for a tour. Stay tuned for much more news to come on this. Until then though we are really excited to announce an upcoming tour with motor city legend Bob Seger! We’re working on our “Night Moves” to prepare for this. It’s going to be a blast. If we don’t see you on this run we will be sure to be in your area sometime this year.
Heartless Bastards tour dates with Bob Seger:
    2/10 – Cajundome – Lafeyette, LA
2/12 – American Airlines Center – Dallas, TX
    2/14 – Toyota Center – Houston, TX
2/17 – INTRUST Bank Arena – Wichita, KS
2/19 – Gila River Arena – Phoenix, AZ
2/25 – Viejas Arena – San Diego, CA
2/27 – The Forum – Los Angeles, CA
3/03 – Sleep Train Arena – Sacramento, CA
3/05 – SAP Center – San Jose, CA
    Wishing you all the Best

Very little news from the cruise, however here is a pic with the caption I suppose would be appropriate.
    This is from Sunday night.

” On the high seas SWAYING” is indeed permitted unlike certain venues in Florida. 😆

    And here’s Lu with Brandi.

Great recap of the show as per usual stoger.
I agree with Lafayette about Mama You Sweet. love the tune.
Was one of the other 4 horsemen {a.k.a.West Words] also in attendance ?

Haven’t heard mention of “Buick 6” in a long time. I did see the original with Doug, the Chet, Butch and David back in Ottawa, ON in ’07 and I am in possession of their autographed CD. ( You know the one with Blaze Foley duct tape on Lu’s face).

I see Rockin’……continues to end the show which is great. Does Lucinda have to mail royalty checks to NEIL ? 😆

Some Hawaiian Christmas music to enjoy from Angela. This time she is playing the kazoo.
I see from her schedule she is really starting to tour outside of Ohio. e.g. Texas. Sure hope she makes it to North of the Lower 48.

Lafayette, I seem to recall a post elsewhere in the FF that you and stoger attended or are planning to attend an AP show ?

This isn’t really a review of DWTSMTB, but I thought Justin Townes Earl paid the highest of compliments to Lucinda on an article for his new record.
    Here’s an excerpt.

“I wrote it to be a double record, but then I found out that Lucinda was putting out a double record and I don’t ever in my life want to go toe-to-toe with Lucinda Williams,” he said. “I went back and thought about how many double records have been made in the past 30 years that I would want to go back and listen to all the way through. If anybody can get away with it these days, it’s possibly the best songwriter in the world, Lucinda Williams. But I think it’d be unfair to count on attention spans being that long these days.”

Here’s the link to his new record.
