Fine stuff, though light (one song) from the newest of the new. Still, what I wouldn’t have given to go GREEN in that audience. . . Rumour has it Doug became a secondtime father two weeks prior to due date; I prefer to call that the gods of tour band composition solving a certain issue with lead guitar for the first leg of the tour. Congrats to Doug and Liz, and well done getting mucho face time with the youngster before getting on a plane, Doug.

I was just looking at Lucinda’s tour schedule for May and saw an almost striking coincidence with Emmylou Harris / Rodney Crowell’s Euro tour promoting “Old Yellow Moon”

    Lucinda ……… ……. Emmylou/Rodney
    May 12 Dublin …………. …… Belfast
    May 13 Belfast …………. …… Dublin
    May 23 Malmo Sweden…
May 24 Uppsala Sweden ……. Stockholm Sweden
    May 25 Stockholm Sweden

Wanna bet this threesome will bump into each other ?

Bienvenue sur le forum amical de Lucinda redpaul 1.

Just curious, have you been a Lucinda fan for awhile ?
She is embarking on a major Euro tour shortly and has several dates in the UK where you and your band “The pUkes” reside, check her out.

I checked out your website link and loved the video “Because You’re Young”-a very happy tune to wake up to on a Saturday morning with almost 20 ukuleles going full tilt.

the Facebook world? The facebook world? Needless to say, I was oblivious to this green-clad arrival. Keep the data coming via Forum. . . .

Ok stoger and you too Lefty as non facebook lurkers, I do not sign onto, repeat do not sign onto facebook but do look regularly at Lucinda’s and others and get all kinds of info.

    1. The pic posted in Dublin was Lu in front of the Leprechaun Museum with Matt (assist. road mgr.) and a bycycle in the background. The color green was not seen anywhere. Our new moderator posted “Is that your bike? in reference to the above picture. I know it’s tonyg cause his pic. is shown and strongly resembles the FF photo of the year with him, Lu and Grumpy Mama at the music shop.
    2. More facebook news-Lu meets Mary Gauthier for the first time at the Button Factory in Dublin. (another great pic.)
    3. More facebook news-Lu is asking her fans for setlist suggestions for Dublin.

Therefore, I have two suggestions for this extended Euro tour.
1.Nominate tonyg as moderator to bring facebook news via Forum as per stoger’s request.
    2. Nominate Lafayette to continue posting setlists to Setlist.FM as she has so capably done in the past. She will get some help from stoger and the Doctor from Scotland but there are 32 shows to report on.

p.s. I double dare stoger and lefty to look at the facebook pictures

Wake up everyone. Euro shows commence on Sunday. Let’s start hearing from our FF members across the pond about their show plans. Who is going to the Dublin show? Belfast? Brighton? πŸ˜€

I’m not shy from this side of the pond to start the reports tonyg.

    1. Everyone in the Facebook world knows by now that Lu has arrived safely in Dublin, NI sporting a WFUV sweater.

    2. For the Belfast show the next night here is Lu’s pick for opening her gig at the Limelight.
It’s the band called “Malojian” -Steve Scullion.
    Here’s his website-sounds pretty good.

Lafayette, check this new video out.
Produced in glorious black and white.

Angela’s voice is superb and the vintage video scenes are priceless.
I especially got a kick of the girls sliding off the roof of an old auto into the water.

    Song is “Brooklyn Girls”
    Enjoy.

For Lefty et al, it seems there is no limits on the internet now.
Can you believe this recently uploaded You Tube is 3 hours and ten minutes long.

Concert is CSNY at Wembley Stadium in London, UK from September 14,1974.

Great viewing and great memories of NEIL and the band.

TomO wrote from the set list Lu picked: John Fullbright-Gawd Above.

Here is a quote about John’s appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN June 13-16, 2013.

I just got the chance to see 23-year old Oklahoman songwriter/multi-instrumentalist John Fullbright for the first time at an intimate show in Los Angeles. Lucinda Williams was in the audience and in a chance encounter with the living legend she affirmed that this youngun is one of the best young acts she’s seen in many years. When Lucinda voices an opinion on such a topic, probably best to heed the advice.

Here’s the full article together with a video of John if you scroll down the article.

And for those able to attend-the full Bonnaroo Festival including Wilco, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and many, many others.

I hope you make it for the new Southgate show Lafayette.
You will be lucky to see Angela in a venue like that.
Moi, not so lucky as I checked her schedule for NXNE ( a huge music and film festival in Toronto like SXSW in Austin ) and she is scheduled for 11:00 p.m. Thurs., June 13th at the Cameron House.( capacity is only 60 )
The catch is you have to purchase a wristband for the day and take your chances at getting into the venue since priority pass holders get preference over wristbands.

    So enjoy the show.
