A fine, but not a really great show in Paradiso. Got the idea that there was no real chemistry between Lucinda, David and Doug. At least not untill late in the show. And I missed Blue.. one of the greatest songs by Lucinda. Oh well, it can not always be as fantastic as in Utrecht in 2009 🙂
I tend to agree about the lack of chemistry and with another writer about no percussion on stage. ( I know this was a budget constraint-just saying. )
Lots of cameras were going for the Paradiso, but I picked CWOAGR because of the overhead camera in action.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-sQ-KJQG2Y

LWjettaParticipantGreat reporting DDinNJ and scdegraaf, many thanks and glad you are both on board for more shows.
Shoulder to shoulder standing venues work best for Lucinda.Lots of video cameras were present in Eindhoven a la You Tube.
Here’s Copenhagen featuring Doug P. on pedal steel.(superb)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7z-f_c8ZL8
And a side note for co-moderator tonyg 😆 Maybe he got his idea for his new avatar with stand-up frizzy hair from David S.lwj

LWJ, is this thread still up? I couldn’t link onto it, either via here or by typing it out.
stoger, when you click on this it should bring you to a new page for security reasons set by this forum.
Simply click on the instruction ” open this content in a new window” and y’all will get to Bitter Memory.OR, do what I do. Visit You Tube regularly, type in Lucinda Williams and select your choice: ie. today, this week, this month, etc.

…is opening for Holly Williams in Columbus on Sunday, June 2!
Hope you make it to that show billed as an acoustic duo.
Just wondering if Angela wondered into Holly’s boutique in Nashville to shop for clothes and the two hit it off.Angela now opening for a star, just like the HB’s did for that other Williams (aka Lucinda) and I feel the Howlin’ Moons are going to really succeed.

Open for discussion. Are we current on shows? I’ve been away for a few days with the holiday weekend.
This would be gig # 11 of 32 Lafayette, Finlandia Hall (capacity 1,300) fairly recently built with a marble facade.
As for being current on Setlist FM we need you to go back to the Copenhagen thread to get the list posted from the translated review as we suggested 😆 . I have only posted to Setlist FM once (for Amos Lee) and tried the Copenhagen one but ran out of time, as it was duplicating everything in English and Danish.
Hope you had a great holiday.lwj

I want to ask this as sensitively and non-glibly as I can: what does that last sentence mean? And how can that be gleaned from a setlist, without access to a firsthand report? Thanks, though, for posting, lwj.
stoger, I just went back now to Setlist FM and clicked on the person who submitted it and it brought me to his blog website.
Here is the translated report of his attendance at the concert.
All I can say is our Lu is one heck of a trooper for carrying on with the show.http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fskadadetankar.blogspot.ca%2F

I’ve Googled and Yahooed Danish newspapers, etc.and can’t find anything other than one You Tube.
I think we will have to call on the former Inside Job for info. on some of these gigs.

The link doesn’t want to cooperate, so just google CBC and find the music tab.lwj
LWjettaParticipantGosh these Ohio gals are something special.
We get to see a great photo gallery of Angela donning vintage clothing from South Gate Revival and I get an autographed EP unavailable in Canada eh !
Thanks so much Lafayette.By the way, Angela had a nice interview with the folks in Toronto setting up the huge NXNE music and film festival for June.
Here’s the interview-makes good Howlin’ Moon reading.http://www.examiner.com/article/angela-perley-and-the-howlin-moons-conversation-nxne-festival-2013
One never knows about concerts.-I just might make it to Toronto for the show and stand in line at the venue real early.
