Two Erika Wennerstrom updates to enjoy.
First up is a 3/4 hour podcast with the “Wandering Wolf”that took place over brunch in a restaurant in Austin, TX.
Seems like the HB’s are soon to be in the big leagues acquiring a “metal firecracker” tour bus.
    Have a listen.
    https://soundcloud.com/thewanderingwolf/episode-10-erika-wennerstrom

Secondly, watch Jessie and Erika enjoy a bloody mary in this cute video re: their appearance at the Lollapalooza Festival coming up.

    http://www.lollapalooza.com/news-events/artists/2013/07/27/bloody-mary-sessions-heartless-bastards/

It’s also worth noting that the HB’s are embarking on a Euro tour starting in mid August just to the UK and the Netherlands.
I think their several concerts to play for the Dutch is a wise choice as in Lucinda’s recent tour the fans there seemed to be really enthusiastic into listening and commenting on her shows there.

This forum is so quiet lately, so let’s hear a bit about Kathleen.
First and foremost she is on the main stage next Friday night August 2nd at the Oakville Waterfront Festival.
A beautiful park on the shores of Lake Ontario near Toronto. A FREE show and by luck also appearing the same evening is Hannah Georgas who opened for Kathleen last year. I saw them both in Hamilton, ON. So, I sure hope to attend this show.

Secondly, a great telephone interview with Kathleen earlier this month.
So her dream of creating an all girl’s band entitled “Modern Beaver” may not be fake after all.

Not too often that you can view a full show of the HB’s but here is one to enjoy from July 19/13 at the Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City, UT.
A full hour and forty minutes.
A bit too bad about the camera angle recording from stage left but it’s a great show with a very enthusiastic crowd.
Lafayette, are you planning on seeing them at the WNKU benefit coming up on August 4th ?

    Tom O
    Thanks for the update.
Exciting news about a couple of “special” shows in September with the 25th anniversary of the S/T.
It was great following the extended Euro tour 2013 and I especially enjoyed the candid photos on Lu’s face book.
Now, for a strictly premature question to pose to you.
With Dougie P. on John Mayer’s tour until the end of October who might grace the stage with Lucinda for the mini tour in September ?

    Great article Lafayette.
Most interesting that Angela has a following in the UK.
Hope you make it tonight to the Southgate House Revival and that tntracy makes it to Greenville, SC.
They are truly an unique band and alas, poor me I have to wait until December in Cleveland to see them live.
In the meantime you would be hard pressed to find another bouncy, toe tappin’, happy video such as this one from Columbus, OH with the tune ” Come on Home”
    Enjoy.

Erika’s new Summer tour started last night in Philly at the Union Transfer.
Here is a video that the up loader didn’t know the song title but of course Lefty and I know that it’s “Low, Low, Low” from the Arrow album.

The schedule for NA which will be followed in mid August to a return to Europe.

I made this schedule super, super big for Lafayette to take note of August 4th at the Greaves Auditorium in Highland Heights, KY- a WNKU benefit concert. I’m sure John Patrick can get you a ticket.
    Here are the details.

Hpoe you can make it twice to Greenville, Tom.
The Southern Culture Kitchen & Bar venue looks great and you won’t starve after looking at their menu.

Somehow, I gotta make it to Cleveland on December 7th. I switch to 4 winter tires every season.

Now back to the Howlin’ Moons on a Saturday moring. I wore out my toe-tappin’ on their delightful down home music.
Watch a full hour from The London, OH Public Library from June 21st. I downloaded this one.Angela plays the harmonica in this set too.

My archival research reveals three pages on this show from July, 2009.

Here’s a portion of what you wrote stoger.

Yes, as SM posted in another stream, Lu “lost her cool” a bit at the end–though I must emphasize that her mood throughout was smiling, sound was good, intros to several songs relatively extended (though not much different from what she has said before). We gave her little energy. No, I wasn’t the lone standee, but I was clapping from row one, to little avail. I think the “shouldn’t be doing this” ultimately referred to the setlist and the fact that she wished she had gone more acoustic this night–rather than to some general statement about not performing or whatnot. Again, I will emphasize that I deliberately waited her out by the bus because I wanted to kind of apologize for the crowd or house, individually and/or collectively. Devon Sproule opened the show, and we were told the two were visiting inside, so kudos to Ms. Sproule for helping get Lu back in a good mood. The dozen or so people waiting bus side were eventually apologized to by Lu. Of course the majority probably shared the sentiments of the lone woman (no twin phenomenon in this town) next to me who said, near the end of the ACDC song, “what did she expect us to do?” A valid question that, in some sense at least.

I opted out of Buick 6’s set in the name of the sunset outside over the Tyne River. Sorry guys.

Just seems like the wrong venue choice.(can’t win em all)
