Quite a setlist tonyg, Thanks for your timely reporting.
Looking forward to the details on the new songs.

The general idea is “everything will happen in time, don’t worry and be patient”.

Later she says “et laissez le bon temps rouler” which means “let’s the good times roll”

I just received in the mail the quarterly issue of CAA magazine from my auto club membership. (same as AAA in the U.S.) It featured a great road trip article on scenic music trails of the Southeast U.S. and showed a picture of Fred’s Lounge.

Y’all will note the picture of Fred’s Lounge in Mamou, LA from the link below with “Laissez les bon temps rouler!” painted on the building.
So I have a couple of comments.
    1. Did Lucinda get the inspiration of her Crescent City lyrics from this bar ?
    2. I looked in the new liner notes for the re, re, release of her self-titled and the lyric line is as follows:
“And laissez le bon ton roulet”
So do you think it’s merely a typo in the booklet or what ?

Sure looks like a cool Cajun bar with real early opening hours.

I love Chris Connor. Nice guy. Helluva a lead guitarist.

Your signed CD will be headed north, hopefully tomorrow. 🙂

    Much appreciated Lafayette. AGAIN !

    Great camera work Lafayette.
Certainly happy, toe tappin’ music to enjoy. Love Chris Connor’s guitar mastery.
Also, I spotted someone very familiar to this FF posting a “like” to your video. (tnt).

High quality video Lafayette. Duane is sure following his dad’s talent joining Stoll’s new band.
Here’s another from Cut Recordings I enjoyed (you’ve probably already seen) with Stoll covering Townes Van Zandt’s “Two Hands” featuring everything about Kentucky including Stoll wearing a Col. Sanders tie.

Lafayette, I don’t know how many air travel rewards points you have on hand now, but it would be Kool for you to see Stoll in LA on Sat. Feb. 15th at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre as per his website.
THEN stick around to the 18th for the start of Lucinda’s World Tour and get to meet some of Lu’s faithful road warriors again. eg. bigsubi, Blessed, tonyg,Grumpy Mama, paul_from_losangeles, etc.

Crescent City 2014 re-write maybe in view of January’s frigid weather even in the deep south.

    Original words.

This town has said what it has to say
Now I’m after that back highway
And the longest bridge I’ve ever crossed
    Over Pontchartrain

    From today’s news.

The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is closed in both directions due to icing on the span. The decision to close the bridge came around 1:15 p.m.
But bridge General Manager Carlton Dufrechou said the decision was made to close the bridge when icy conditions led to vehicles spinning out.
The closure game just moments after Dufrechou said the bridge was still open, but that anyone who wanted to cross should hurry to get there.
The temperature of the bridge was about 30 degrees with light rain at about 12:30 p.m., Dufrechou said. Ice was hanging from the signs on the 24-mile span.

Warmer weather will be on the way we hope.

Really a nice pleasant way to spend 15 minutes on a very snowy Saturday morning in case you missed it live Lafayette.

Interview with Angela on WOSU FM Columbus, OH taped from Friday’s All Sides show.
Angela is a very well spoken young musician, she brought along her Dobro and music saw.
Scroll to 19 & 1/2 minutes, ends at 34 minutes.

lwj, I didn’t make it last Friday to Angela’s CD release show — weather related — too much snow. I have plans to see her in Cincinnati in a few weeks.

    Nice article and pics, Lafayette.
I glanced at Angela’s facebook and saw the band scheduled to open in Columbus got snowed in and guessed you had the same issue. Smart sense not to travel, like today here in Ontario with cold plus blowing snow.
I would say that both here and the U.S.A. 2014 is an “Old Fashioned Winter”
