Next Album – John’s forthcoming studio album, “No Better Than This,” remains on schedule for release next Fall. Kurt Markus’s documentary on the making of the album–which took place last summer at the First African Baptist Church in Savannah, Ga., Sun Studio in Memphis and the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio–is still in production, and will also include footage from the The Bob Dylan Show with John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson tour.What I did find, because I supported Farm Aid 2009 in a membership-looking at NEIL videos, that you are a BIG John M. fan. Love his (J.M.’s) music-Does he ever come to Canada?
The closest to where I live was him appearing in July/09 in Syracuse, NY.
I also found J.M.’s “The Mellenblog” where, it appears someone from West Chester, OH is a major contributor.
Plus ,from this Blog I could watch all of his Farm Aid songs on You Tube.Finally, since this is Lucinda’s Forum-did you first become a fan from her 2008 tour opening for John?

Jimmy’s new album will be an americana “back-to-his-Oklahoma-roots” album on Koch/E1 records and will feature guest appearances including BILLY JOEL, LINDA RONSTADT, WILLIE NELSON, MICHAEL McDONALD, GLEN CAMPBELL, MARK KNOPFLER, VINCE GILL, JERRY DOUGLAS and LUCINDA WILLIAMS. The album will be released in March 2010

A big thanks to Lafayette. I received the notes last night as Pdf’s via e-mail.
What an add to my collection of Lu memorbilia. I don’t know how Lucinda does it in her busy schedule but to take the time to write such detailed notes is something else.

Great weekend of music. Friday night spent with Bo Ramsey and Greg Brown at a small and accoustically sound room called One Longfellow Square. Bo and Greg bring terrific music forward with Bo opening the show in his competent, deep-rooted, and sure-footed manner.
I looked up “One Longfellow Square” in Portland, and man do they have a great lineup of shows.
One that would be great to see is on Jan.26/10. “An acoustic Cafe Evening” with Carrie Rodriguez.Re; Bo, I see he is playing again with Greg Brown at the “Community School of Theatre & Art” on Feb.11/10 in Ithica, Ny.
That’s about a three hour drive for me, so I’m thinking about it.Here is a new article on Bo from the December, 2009 issue of Premier Guitar Magazine entitled “Bo Ramsey: Bo Knows Tone” that is worth a read.

Building 55 was an EP released in 1999 by Canadian singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards. Only 500 copies of the EP were printed, and it has become a highly sought-after collector’s item following the success of Edwards’ subsequent albums Failer, Back To Me and Asking for Flowers.

Temperatures did not drop at all overnight and as a result many locations are at the same temperature or a bit warmer than last evening.
That’s good news because tailgaters will not be as cold as I originally thought.
Look for a high temperature around 25F today about the same at game time.Enjoy the game.
By the way, there are 4 or 5 You Tube videos just posted on the HB’s recent gig at the Southgate House. Not the best quality however.

Back to meeting Lu-Had the pleasure of meeting Lu, Tom O and Buick 6 in Toronto last October by the tour bus.
Just a delightfull down to earth experience.
Souvenirs obtained were a signed set list and my photo with Lu’s arms around me.lwj Eh
