I sure hope the interviewers??? and camera persons are volunteering their performance for Musicares.

WebMasta should have been contracted for this event.

A pic has been posted on wireimages of David Crosby arriving, so it has started. Sheesh, don’t they know we’re sitting here waiting on Lu?

Yeah , I hope this thing picks up. It would be nice to have this thread going full steam ahead like what occurred for the First Ave. Web cast in Oct./08
    Enough about cars already.

Hey, went to the Grammy Live website link. Looks like the only thing being televised is the red carpet and auction. You may just want to keep snoozing lwj.

Check the schedule and post back with thoughts.I’m interested to see if I’m reading it wrong.

Hmm. All I can possibly see is Saturday @2:00 p.m. ( PST ) -show re-cap highlights.
But we may be lucky enough to see Tom O and Lu drive up in their black Chevy SSR before stepping on the red carpet, or Lu in on the bidding process.

Well, barring any additions, it looks like my list is complete once I get these CDs in the mail!

That’s great. Glad your list will be complete, of course until the next one.
I suppose for Amazon. UK, if you were really stuck, you could always ask dr winston oboogie for his help.

Didn’t you also stay up late to watch Neil on the Tonight Show finale?

    OK smarty!!
I was channel hopping from Conan to Jimmy Kimmel for the HB’s and back.
Caught 2/3 of “Long May You Run”

Loved Conan jamming at the end.
Looking forward to the web cast tonight. (better set my alarm )

It’s taking place in Los Angeles, so the times can only be Pacific Time.

I’ll be watching on the web.

Thanks Tonyg. I figured it will be Pacific time.
This means a repeat for me of staying up late in the East two weekends in a row.
Last Friday watching the Heartless Bastards on Jimmy Kimmel Live and last Saturday again the HB’s on Austin City Limits.
Oh the sacrifices for the love of good music.

Tnt, try this from Amazon.UK for just the clip.

Also, try this direct from Kieran Kane’s web site for a single track of “This Dirty Little Town” $0.99
Just click on the album cover for “Dead Reckoning”

Also -on the Neil front -during the upcoming Grammy week Neil will be honored as Musicares Man Of The Year and Lucinda, Emmylou and Patty Griffin will be performing Comes A Time at the show. Should be a great night.

Musicares is an organization that helps musicians with health care, substance abuse etc.

A reminder to tune into Grammy.com Live tonight Jan.29
Here is a quote I found from a fan about NEIL which seems to describe him to a T.
    Quote
“Neil made me a fan when he wrote (and sang, of course) “Big John’s been drinkin’ since the river took Emmy Lou”. Any artist who could write that lyric, sing it over top of screaming electric guitars, and make it sound PERFECT is nothing less than a rocker of the highest order.

Since then I’ve immersed myself in much more of his music, but that one line from “Powderfinger” (a song that seems to sit beneath the surface of his body of work – you never hear it on the radio but it is easily one of his top 5) was the impetus for my long love affair with his music”.End Quote

    Read more: http://www.cbc.ca/arts/music/story/2010/01/28/neil-young.html#ixzz0e0FneACN

Also, here is a “Powderfinger” video from Germany, 2001. Neil’s half-sister and his wife are the back up singers.
    Great song indeed.

    Tnt-It worked.
When I went back to Rapid Share and clicked free user it said to wait about 60 seconds.
The compressed .rar file took about 10 minutes to download to my trusty HP laptop.
Here is what Lu said before starting the song Hot Blood.
Quote: “This is fun. This is neat. We’re so lucky. It’s about one thing”. End Quote
The song is 5:08 in length and sounds great.
I just got home from bowling so I’m anxious to hear the whole set with Rosanne, Bruce & Lu.
Shoot me a PM if you are unable to get this collection.

There was a link to another page, however, that did work & that had this small pic of Lu from the taping:

Austin City Limits presents the unique talents of Rosanne Cash with two of her favorite songwriter friends, Bruce Cockburn and Lucinda Williams, for an evening of intimate acoustic music.
