Did you see the Beatles rider? They asked for 150 cops.

AND 2 seven passenger Cadillac limos (air-conditioned if possible)

    John Mellencamp-lots of chocolate milk
Celine Dion-Dressing room MUST remain at 73 degrees F

    And so on.
These riders make for interesting reading. My question is how do they end up on the internet?
A lot of them look like formal contracts.

By the way, I found this when I googled Lucinda Williams memorabila.
Still have to open a thread or add to this one called back-stage passes.

I included the other mysterious fee of 2 bucks on my ticket to arrive at my 30 odd % markup on $42.50
EXCEL says $42.50*0.33=$14.02 Of course I agree way too high.

Just one more comparison in ticket prices
This is going away back but it shows what inflation / gouging has done to TicketMaster, etc.
This is from September 26, 1998 from the Shoreline Amphitheatre in MountainView, Ca
A concert with Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Lucinda.

o Prices: $45 seats, $35 lawn (add BASS charges)
Seat ticket total was $49.50 , therefore face value markup of $4.50 was a more reasonable 10%[attachment=0:1blmm2vy]Lucinda Williams Sep. 26, 1998.jpg[/attachment:1blmm2vy]

Ticket price was $22 with an additional $4.75 fee, a little over 20% of ticket price. Added ticket fees suck, for the artist and the fan.

    20% is cheap.
Here is what I paid to see Lu in Toronto, October 10, 2009
    $2.00 for what?
$12.00 Convenience fee to Live Nation
$14.00 total out of $56.50 grand total That’s a whopping 33% fee on the face value

    HELP us TOverby
    Thanks

It is my humble opinion that as a Lu fan, if you don’t have a copy of the Gram Parsons DVD with her cover of “Song For You” then you’re really cheating yourself.

And here is a beautiful quote from the thread I posted “Lilith Fair 2010?
Quote”If you are foolish enough not to own her ( Lucinda ) latest CD, your life is an empty shell.” End Quote

We are very fortunate to experience Lu’s musicology indeed.
    $17.99 Cdn= $17.10 US-not a bad deal y’all

Yeah, but you seem to have more patience with digging through Google results that I do.

    Actually, I fibbed.
I really found the answer on page 320.
Now, this is turning out like the fun Lafayette, tonyg and I had last Friday night when we were ‘patiently” waiting to catch a glimpse of Lucinda for the Musicares tribute to NEIL.
OK, Lafayette ( if you are not painting ) and tonyg ( if you are not at a concert with Bubbles )-let’s see some interaction on a lazy Tuesday night.

This one is on my shopping list for sure Itchy Skin.
Quite a length to the song “Song for You” too-almost 7 minutes.
So sad that both Gram and Janis left us so early in life.

    OK tnt.
I posted a picture of someone’s music collection in their office on another thread recently and you said yours was not nearly that big. I question that.
“Sundays” was my favorite on this Dutch recording.( quite high quality too )

Below is the track listing for the potential 2nd disc of LW reissue. Also, I have just been listening to the nearly final clean up of LW from the original master tapes (which the Koch reissue didn’t use because they were missing at that time) and it is sounding beautiful. Mr. Liljestrand has done his usual stellar job. It will all be mastered by the Grammy winning Gavin Lurssen who did such a fantastic job on West and Little Honey.

Since you live in California, have you ever attended this annual event? supposed to be billed as an all acoustic show.

This one doesn’t seem to be on your spreadsheet.

Lu singing “A Song for You” by Gram Parsons.
It also was on a DVD in LA 2004.
