This was my fourth show and it was great to hear more of the old stuff. Lu was right on in the early numbers and sounded great. But after the tirade about the “decibles” the air went out of the show. Honey Bee and Joy were good, but the encores were flat. During Righteously the sound on lead guitar was horrible and Lu was clearly not into it. Long Way was the same – flat, uninspired.

I’ll give Lu a break here ’cause you get what you give. The crowd was light on Lucinda die-hards and heavy on urban Denver uppercrust that was going to a concert at the Gardens not going to see Lucinda. I think it affected her performance. But no worries – I’ll be there for the next one – hopefully somewhere with a little more energy and Lucinda-worship like the Ogden or Fillmore. Luv ya always Lu!
