ParticipantEverybody seems to wonder
What it’s like down here
I gotta get away
from this day-to-day
running around,
Everybody knows
this is nowhere.

ParticipantMy Morning Jacket – “Evil Urges”
I’ve had this disc for 1 day and already it’s my frontrunner for Album of the Year. I’m starting to suspect that Jim James is not from this planet 8)“Evil Urges is a remarkable rock album—and certainly one of the most fulfilling and varied in recent memory. The album has My Morning Jacket breaking down the boundaries of genre—perhaps proving that this is one of the rare bands that may eventually transcend categorization. Instead of being constrained by past successes, they’ve gone and produced an unpredictable gem populated with all varieties of popular music. Evil Urges is—much like the city where it was recorded (NYC)—impossibly diverse, endlessly fascinating and, most critically, triumphant.”
