The writer here gives props to JM, CB.

ParticipantYour English is much better than my Switzerdeutsch, O-W. For me, an exhilarating part of going to a concert is never really knowing what you’re going to get (unless you go see the Eagles). Six out of ten ain’t bad. Welcome to the Forum.

Participant“Biggest impression — one was in the presence of an artist and not someone who thought being in a rock band would be a neat way to make a living. Not quite of the world as the rest of us are. Brooding, a bit self-destructive, but always observing and connecting dots unperceived by you and me.
Second biggest impression — rock star as all-conquering master, but itself a disguise for an intensely vulnerable woman. Vulnerable, but not to be messed with. One who is living out her testimony.“
That’s heavy-duty, KJR. Thanks to you and others for Paris postings.

ParticipantWelcome, CD. Enjoy the ride.

ParticipantSome of us turn off the lights and we live
In the moonlight shooting by
Some of us scare ourselves to death in the dark
To be where the angels flyDylan – “Red River Shore”
Boggles my mind that this song initially was a cast-off 😕

ParticipantGracias, Senor stoger! People mostly sitting, mostly standing, all of the above? How’s “The Legend that is S…” holding up so far?

Excerpt:
Q: Do you have a band or musician that feels most “literary” to you, either in the content or approach to songwriting?
A: Bob Dylan, and Lucinda Williams.

ParticipantMy guess, CB, is that Grampa Willie’s followers and not Bob’s were lobbing trash at Johnny. Another reason why I’m not wild about these ballpark shows. The novelty has worn off (at least for me).

ParticipantFantasy moment: How cool would it be if Ms. Williams tonight covered Dylan’s “Boots of Spanish Leather” ?

You go, ‘dog! Thanks for thinking of us & enjoy the show! 🙂

ParticipantI must say, a fine-looking flock of “rail birds” there! Said with the utmost respect! Is that your ‘stang blanket(?) over the rail, CB?
Regarding the Bobster, I think there are more than a few nights when he doesn’t understand his singing either! I’ll close by saying…“Free Donnie Herron!”
