Ha ha, I don’t teach mathematics, Lefty, fortunately. Deft of someone just to revive last year’s stream and add to it here.[/quote]

Chalk it up to jet lag, Road Warrior. Where are you now, good sir? 8)

Great news, on a momentous day all round for me.
Today I retired after more than 44 years with the same employer, I would have liked to work on for a further year, but various things seemed to dictate that it was not to be, and who knows maybe it will be a blessing in the end.

Any way back to the news we are all interested in today, and something to look forward to in the new year, and hopefully Lucinda will play some of the new record when she comes to visit us in January.

    Life is good.

Best wishes on your retirement, doc. Enjoy the next phase!

    Y’all,
Much to our disappointment, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their inductees for 2015 and Douglas Wayne Sahm was not on the list.
Never fear. Our film Sir Doug & The Genuine Texas Cosmic Groove has yet to be seen or screened by the general public. We’re just now starting a film festival run and our reps at Submarine Productions are trying to cut some broadcast deals.
On Sunday, October 11, the film will be shown at the Mill Valley Film Festival in northern California at the Sequoia 2 Theater at 5:30 pm with the director and the producer on hand for a Q and A.
On Friday, October 16, the film will screen at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival.
On Wednesday, November 4, we’ll be at In-Edit in Barcelona, Spain with the film.
Saturday, November 7, the film is being featured at the Lone Star Film Festival in Fort Worth, Texas.
And November 12, Thursday, the film will be at the Hollywood Theater in Portland, Oregon, although the director will not be present.
There will be more film fest screenings to come. Most important, we’re working hard to get wide distribution, so this time next year, Doug Sahm will be on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee list for 2016.
Stay tuned, keep the faith, and groove on.
