Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. Also wanted to thank Cindy for the awesome Welcome signs! Thanks Cindy!
My pleasure (as well as stoger)! We had a great time chatting with you last night, thanks for your time, and I thought you were outstanding. Very impressive for one so young. Just remember one thing…when mama’s happy, everybody’s happy. Mama was happy last night 😉 She was grinning from ear to ear not to mention you receiving, what I refer to as the, “I’m not worthy” wave after “Convince Me” [It was “Convince Me”, wasn’t it stoger?]
I’m hoping I can make it to Chicago, I’m anxious to see you in your comfort zone, and you should be there by then.

Good report Stoger. So Blake already has fans holding up signs?
Imagine my surprise after receiving an email from the road warrior, suggesting we hold signs to welcome Blake to the band. This, from one in the same, who politely declined holding a “Blessed” sign at the Nelsonville, OH show. Of course, that involved being included in a photograph — perhaps said warrior is a bit camera shy. I happily assumed sign making duties (love this kind of stuff). Yep, those two crazies were none other than yours truly and the road warrior. Stoger held his “Welcome” sign above my “Blake!” sign. We were in front near Lu’s microphone on David’s side, however, Blake saw the sign as well as Lu, who made a point to show to Blake. Stoger shirked his duties, however, as the game plan also called to hold up said signs after Blake was introduced during band intros. He must have been lost in the magnifence of the show. I came thru, though, and another smile from Blake rounded out the night.
I have some additional musings, just a few, but am short on time and will report back later.

Welcome Mrs. D! What show(s) are you looking at? BTW…I’m stroking, too! This is my dream ticket.

ParticipantMy brother, a Chicago resident, is very excited to see Lu. I gave him a heads up yesterday 2 Chicago shows were soon to be announced. He called me last night and told me about this presale, I believe he is on the jam base mailing list. I checked facebook and then the website to see if it had been announced. You are on top of things, paul!
I purchased 2 tickets for May 21, my brother said he preferred to see the rocking show. I have high hopes to make this show, if not, my brother will be taking a friend. I took him to see Lu in November ’09 and he’s anxious to see her again. I hope it works out and a Chicago road trip is on my itinerary!

ParticipantSounds like a wonderful night of music and “connecting the dots,” Tom. I always love those “connecting the dots” stories of artists we love and admire.

ParticipantThanks, most excellent on the Dakota Sessions, lwj!
He is making guest appearances in May on the night time circuit. Really looking forward to seeing him play with Jimmy Fallon’s The Roots band. Following was from an antiMusic recap as part of top story of the week–announcement of Amos & Lu’s 9 show run.
Lee will appear on TBS’s Conan on May 9th and on NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, performing “Jesus” (off Mission Bell) with The Roots, on May 26th. Lee will also appear on CBS’s The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson with an airdate to be announced.

ParticipantSteal Your Love, as I recall, is one of the songs Lu feels is not as strong as others in her catalog. I personally would love to hear it more as well.

ParticipantWhat a great find, lwj! I took the liberty of posting to Lu’s FB page.
Can’t wait…one more week and I’ll be seeing Blake, Lu, David, & Butch in Indianapolis at The Vogue!

ParticipantIt appears section 2 is center section according to TNT’s scalper find.

ParticipantI proclaimed we had 2nd row center seats before I realized the seating chart miscue. The former seats were 6th row. It’s frustrating but what can you do. Buy the tickets and hope for the best.
Lafayette
ParticipantYES, and even better news, as documented in the Cleveland Pre-Show thread, I called ticketmaster and had my money refunded! Unbelievable. I’m smiling from ear to ear right now.
Lafayette
ParticipantExcellent seats, Tim! I had some issues with Cleveland but it may be the way I try to process. I pulled second row seats, did a little more shopping, went back to process and received an ERROR message. Expletives flew. I ended up with 6th row, however, my concert buddy pulled up second row and we purchased those as well. I’ll be posting the tickets I purchased, at ticket cost, in the Cleveland thread if anyone is interested in them.

ParticipantI called my buddy at WNKU this afternoon to tell him the news about this run of shows. He said “Wow, Lu is coming to Cincy twice?” I said “yeah, isn’t it great?” He told me he got to see her at the Lost Highway show in Austin. He loved it. I figured as much as I made a point to listen to him after he returned from Austin and the very first song of his program was a Lu song. I heard him do the same thing after the Mellencamp/ Lu show. He spun JM first and then Lu after that 2008 show. I’m impressed with the things I remember and the things I easily forget.
It was late in his program today when I called. He was checking Amos’s site to confirm the shows while I was on the phone with him so my money is tomorrow he will be spinning some Lu & Amos and chatting up the show. He did mention that Josh Groban was at US Bank Arena that same night, after I told him the date, then as an afterthought said…”Ah, there will be no problem.”

ParticipantAdd Chicago to the May shows. Soon to be announced according to Lu’s FB page.
” The Chicago shows will be announced very soon -two separate shows Sat. 5/21 and Sun. 5/22″
“The Sat. show will be a rockin show while the Sun. show will be an intimate night of ballads, blues and more.”
Good grief, I wonder how much more my husband will tolerate. I want to go to (one) of these shows.

ParticipantOne more YouTube song because I am so st(r)oked.
“Bottom Of the Barrel” at The Ryman in Nashville this past Friday.
