Only 4 songs in his set—so you didn’t miss anything. Not familiar with that last song—I’m guessing an original written for the occasion? It was beautiful indeed. The guy standing at the stage looked like he was overwhelmed with emotion during “Out of the Cold.”

I started listening to this interview but had to stop half way through. I did, catch, however, the part where you were asked about the “I Just Wanted To See You So Bad” cover and commenting you preferred it hadn’t “leaked” out. Oops — apologies for that particular forthcoming. Unfortunately, or fortunately, however you tend to look at things, all bets are off to all things Lu related here in the friendly forum. 😉 🙂

I’m looking forward to hearing the entire interview when time allows.

I know! Perhaps Lu will receive an invite one day. I fear one of my top five has fallen wayside. Stoll’s FB page (the one he updated) — disappeared. His website — gone. His twitter feed — nada. I fear he’s either thrown in the towel or not paid the bills.

Amos receives presidential invite to play for the military families on the South Lawn on July 4. Can be viewed on website linked in article. The fun begins at 8:15 p.m. A side note, Train is also playing. They put on a great show. Their bass player is amazing…use to help an independent band from San Diego he played with and he moved on and is now playing in the big leagues.

furthermore, quieter songs like “reason to cry” (is there a softer lucinda song?) are just maddening, deafening beautiful, then when it comes to LW i guess i can never really say that a mellow song is indeed mellow because they are mostly heartbreaking and they yell out loud to my mind in the most unexpected ways.

in a way, “reason to cry” is just as thrilling as “honey bee”. serenity can rock, people.

Perhaps it’s the Latin “Hotblood” running through your veins, my friend…not that there’s a thing wrong with that. 8)

As always, many thanks, oh weary road warrior, for all the reports. This looked (and sounded) like a fine show, indeed.

I like both…but lean toward rocking. It’s in my blood — which doesn’t explain my fascination for Amos Lee. So, go figure.

Thanks for the post, marclaff! Good to hear your daughter heard “Unsuffer Me.” It’s always so VERY cool when requests are granted.

punch — do you prefer a rocking show or a mellow show when it comes to Lu?

I somehow missed your post, lwj, about the HB at Southgate House. I would love to see them at Canal Street Tavern but am unavailable that night so SH it is! They are also doing a secret show (or it’s being billed as such) for anyone pledging a paperless donation to WNKU during their pledge drive. On a side note, a $240 donation secured tickets to Amos & Lu’s show at PNC on July 15. They have been really pushing the show with shout outs as well.

Interview with audio–the segment “Touring With Heroes” has a Lu mention towards the end of the 2+ minute clip.

Nope, I missed this, didn’t even know he was on the road doing some shows. He plays the Evening Muse quite a bit, generally whenever he is in the South East as a local promoter there in Charlotte loves him.

I saw him play the ukulele last year at “Eddie’s Attic,” a first for me.

    Thanks for the link!

Amos with the Zac Brown Band at the CMT Music Festival per “The Boot.” A shout out at the end of the article in regards to the shows Amos & Lu are doing together. I cannot wait!
