Great set list. Stowaway still making the list and love seeing Fruits of my Labor and Copenhagen.

Thanks for posting the set list. It’s a ‘look forward to’ from this fan.

Song #16 is “Low Down Life.” He wrote that, he said, when he opened on the Dylan/Costello tour.

I video taped it at the Cleveland show with Lu this past July.

Just catching up on this thread…not sure where I’ve been all week.

Loved your set list print out to take to the show.

WOW…Amos is mixing it up. Taking requests? False starts (never witnessed that before). Have to agree, Zach is a slinger, love Andy on slide and Freddie on drums, Mutlu singing back up and making the occasional Angel appearance.

I’m very happy you had a great night, lwj. Wish I could have been there!

I missed being in Athens, hanging with the Horsemen, missing Blake open along with percussion talents of Butch *despite excessive talking*, and of course, missing Lu sing so sweetly.

West Words — thought of you immediately with “Seeing Black” & “Soldier’s Song” on the list.

I heard that news on my drive to Chattanooga on Saturday. She is 76 years young. Get well soon, Loretta!

I would bet my last dollar “Track 29” will never make this list.

tnt—In regards to our conversation about Bessie Smith (looks like they have a festival in Chattanooga in her honor) I dug up this article The Cincinnati Enquirer picked up and subsequently ran on Sept 11—The Riverside Hotel in Clarksdale, MS where Bessie died after a car accident.

Great setlist recap and reports, stoger and tnt!

I was stage right on the fence, and never realized how bad the sound was in the cavernous room, so I’m glad I made it to the rail, this even with Buick 6 already performing. Track 29 compares itself to great music venues like The Orange Peel…I think they have a long way to go.

Highlights for me were “Those Three Days,” the three all inclusive songs in the set, as pointed out by tnt later in the evening, with the procreating word as the running common denominater, and the new song “Stowaway” as well as the Dylan cover and the Allman Brothers cover, both amazing! Also, I encouraged a few young fans I had met standing beside me, to stick around outside by the bus to get autographs, and they were simply thrilled when Lu stopped, signed, and took photos with them. I even helped with a sale, as I told them find something for her to sign, so they went over to the merch table and bought a couple of CD’s.

Is there anyone in and around the Columbus, OH area interested in FREE tickets to see John at the Palace Theater? I have access up to 6 seats, they are in the balcony.

Date of show is Wednesday, November 2. The tickets will be in my name at the box office, I can meet you there.
