A documentary following JM around during a 2009 tour opening for Bob Dylan as well as knocking out a record on his off days is chronicled by photographer Kurt Markus and his son. Select screenings in LA & NYC thru Jan 16 . I made it into the trailer(!), wearing a hat and head jamming. Don’t blink. 22 seconds in.

You are one up on me, lwj…wasn’t aware of the Artist’s Den showing on March 2….will look forward to that as well.

YES! We were at the Memphis Liberty Bowl cheering on the Bearcats. The whole dang family was there (on husband’s side)- 10 of us in all including my 85 year old father-in-law who finally saw a winning Bowl game (his first Bowl game was a 1947 trip to the Sun Belt Bowl, via train, as a member of UC’s marching band, however, they lost that game). We had fun, but it was such a short trip with little time to do anything touristy. We made it to Beale Street to listen to some house bands, and then back again the following day to grab lunch before the game. I buzzed through one store and that was about it – no Graceland, no Sun Studios. Perhaps next time. Glad you enjoyed the game, we sure did!

Thank you, o mighty road warrior, for your report.

lwj – thanks for the update on venue change. Both are excellent venues!

I look forward to catching this show at 20th Century. Many great venues on this tour. Perhaps the stoger can squeeze in Mercy Lounge in Nashville.

We’re going to try to go to their annual holiday concert here in Cincinnati on Dec 17 if some tickets open up.

While all my Lu friends will be in San Fran this Saturday, I’ll be in Indianapolis at a JM show. HOWEVER, on a whim, I bought a ticket for next January’s show in LA with Blake opening! Not sure if I can make it yet, but I wanted a ticket in hand, just in case.

I love statistics AND a music twist to boot. I love setlistfm, too!
