Awesome, TO! You’re running down these songs much like a stoger/setlist.fm combo with a few extra stats thrown in for good measure
As an aside, the color commentary? PRICELESS.
All that’s missing is the Stoughton show for this run of shows. I’ll start a thread to give you a short assist, if you could post the set list?
Minneapolis sounds like an amazing set of shows. It’s one of the reasons I love going to Lu’s shows- they are NEVER cookie cutter.

I think they did it at the Henry Miller Library last year.
Thanks, tony, however, “I Need Protection” is a nada according to your posted set list –> viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3119&hilit=henry+miller
BTW, posting set lists to shows has been very helpful with documenting on setlist.fm. Thanks all! 🙂
Edit to add:
I’m going thru last summer’s shows and INP made the Santa Fe set list:
LafayetteParticipant“I Need Protection” From the Feb 6 Dakota Jazz Club show, as documented on YouTube. I did a quick search on setlist.fm and, from what I searched, this song may have only been performed one other time (at Stone Mountain Center, July 2012)?
Lu is so ‘on’ with this performance, and Doug, of course 🙂 :

Edit to add:
Apparently, this song was played at Bowery Ballroom, per this YouTube I found. This show not documented on setlist.fm (yet), however, stoger and company made note of it in this thread: https://www.lucindawilliams.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3212&start=15&hilit=bowery+ballroom
Video of “I Need Protection” from the Bowery Ballroom show, full band. I hope this makes it on the new record. LOVE it!
LafayetteParticipantI like to think Lu would be real happy being compared to a real life Rayna James as well. 🙂

LafayetteParticipantIndeed.

LafayetteParticipantLu on the birthday guitar performing killer versions of “Hard Time Killing Floor Blues” and “God Don’t Never Change” (with Kenneth Brian and Lillie Mae Rische).
LafayetteParticipantA new song “Highline” from the soundtrack to the film “Winter in the Blood.”

Don’t know where Wake Up Call came from. It was Reason To Cry.
Subliminal mistake, perhaps.
Thanks for the correction.
LafayetteParticipantYes, I did receive that notice. It’s awesome he is getting these special invites to play without being on the road.
As a side note on the Knoxville gig, I’m now holding out hope Amos will be opening act for a scheduled Bluegrass show sponsored by WDVX, as it now appears on the Bijou’s website. No mention of Amos on the event calendar or his website, but a google search will pull his name up as appearing at this show. The optimist in me purchased a ticket. I hope the gamble pays off.
LafayetteParticipantYes, yes on Jambalaya. Big ‘duh’ from me for blowing that one. Also, never gave thought to another new song?? 😯
LafayetteParticipantAnother review.
Lucinda Williams takes on Nashville at third Dakota set. Mentions Jon Bream review from first night. BTW, Bream tweeted me back apologies on listing Changed The Locks as a Tom Petty song from his Night 1 review. 😉

LafayetteParticipantAnd Reason To Cry is not listed in set list, however, the writer notes Lillie Mae joins Lu during this song on fiddle.
