Last year was the inaugural Farm Aid fundraiser held at Haven’s Kitchen. Jakob Dylan was featured performer. Billboard was in attendance and wrote up this blog:

Good job posting, grumpymama! Yes, I’m envious of all the opportunities our West Coast FF members have with Lu, however, it’s great to live vicariously through them. 😀
I’m soooo excited. I haven’t seen him perform for a year and a half at least. I hope to have photos on FB if it seems proper. If not, I will write up a report.

If all goes well and Lady Luck is on my side ( as in no flight cancellations or long delays), I will be in NYC tomorrow at an intimate Farm Aid fundraiser with Amos as the featured performer at a farm to table restaurant, Haven’s Kitchen.
It was a great trip, lwj.
It seems I chose the show to attend between the two charity events John performed the past few weeks (he played an event last night for Bob Costas’ SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center). Last night’s show was much shorter than Austin.

I have a boot somewhere from the early 80’s, whereas Mr. Mellencamp, aka John Cougar Mellencamp, covered “Shoot Out The Lights,” with an intro exclaiming “for his money, Richard Thompson was the best songwriter around…”
