LafayetteParticipant
Sangria! Did someone mention sangria? My summertime splurge.
Thanks for the report, stoger, as always.
LafayetteParticipantThe Subiranas trump me with the Mediterranean Sea and the Kenneth Brian band. How dare they! 😛
My basement has hosted Mellenheads, Lu*fanatics, and Americana musicians [The Believers]. Always a pleasure.
Carry on road warrior.
LafayetteParticipantLafayetteParticipantLafayetteParticipantOh, lwj, I hope you get to go, HOWEVER, I am going to pass on this year’s event. 😯
I’ve looked at air fare, hotel accomodations, plus cost of tickets, and to make a long story short, the cost of air PLUS flight time, and more importantly, outbound choices on flights, are not conducive for us.
I will be watching the feed [hopefully] from home.
LafayetteParticipantMy brother is close, lwj. I believe an hour and a half. I’ll have to see if he is available. Yes, could be a triple play!
LafayetteParticipantInteresting pick up on the cover art, lwj. I love the entire EP.
I’m glad you saw the Andy York guitar pick. I meant to send you [apologies for no personalized note] a DM to look for the pick. I told you I had an extra one I wanted to give you since I grabbed the one Andy threw out at the Windsor show. A few years late, but hey, I followed through on my promise. 😀
LafayetteParticipantYeehaw! I just checked (University of Cincinnati football) schedules [we have season tickets] to see if that Sept 7 date would work for me, AND, I can’t believe this, but UC is playing Illinois on that date in Champaign, IL! This could be, no, this IS a WIN WIN for me. Unbelievable!
LafayetteParticipantThat festival, stoger, the following weekend in the Cincinnati area, according to my source [no, not Inside Job 😯 ] is purported to be at Riverbend Music Center, and from what I hear, includes Trucks/Tedeschi and Carolina Chocolate Drops. This news prompted a verbal “Yessss!” from the four walls I call home.
LafayetteParticipantAngela is the bee’s knees, and I would think she would love hearing that allusion, as I’m convinced she was born in the wrong era. Her shows are high energy, and she has a great backing band.
Tom, the Greenville, SC venue looks to be the PERFECT place to see Angela. I hope it works out. In the meantime, you need to work your contacts in Atlanta and get her booked near you. 😀
LafayetteParticipantDrunk posting. I like it.

Great article. Thanks for sharing.
I especially relate to this part…
Her concerts give the impression of being in a hall full of people, each of whom imagined she would be singing exclusively for them, and is rather peeved to find anyone else in the audience.I’ve never seen her live but this is how I feel about her music.
I hope you get to see her live. It’s the best bad to the bone, spiritual show one can experience.
LafayetteParticipantI posted the show on setlist.fm with all the corrections you gave, TO.
As a side note, constructive criticism is one thing, downright rude remarks are another.
LafayetteParticipantThanks, TO. I love inside info. It helps to live vicariously through all who post.
