LafayetteParticipant
Looking forward to reports.
According to my sources *twitter* it looks like Lu opened the show with “Factory” by Bruuuuuuuce.
LafayetteParticipantI received following info from the AMA in my inbox re: the 3rd and Lindsley show on Sept 22.
LUCINDA WILLIAMS PERFORMANCE TO CLOSE AMERICANAFEST 2013
Lucinda Williams will perform an intimate showcase of her self-titled album, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its release, to close the 2013 Americana Music Festival & Conference on Sunday, September 22 at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley.
Americana Music Festival & Conference registrants will receive invitations by September 3rd for the special 3rd & Lindsley performance, with a limited number of tickets on sale to the public. This is not a wristband showcase.
Click HERE to purchase your conference registrations.
More details to follow at americanamusic.org or visit www.3rdandlindsley.com
LafayetteParticipantYes, no worries, lwj. Go with “E”

“You can sleep when you _ _ _.”
Fill in the blank . Bad mojo or something. Advice given to me many times from a JM partner in crime. Not that I always followed said advice.
One good thing, we can listen, via the world wide web. Perhaps lwj will start a ‘3rd and Lindsley’ show tree. 😀
LafayetteParticipanttonyg’s reports are always entertaining, very comparable to stoger’s. Brothers in [music]arms.

I can now confirm the final show of Sept. will be Sun. 9/22, the closing night of the Americana Music Awards fest in Nashville at the music club 3rd & Lindsley–she will be playing the Rough Trade record beginning to end to start the show.
Also, the show will be broadcast live but am still getting the rest of those details. Then it’s time to get home and get some recording done.
Great way to wrap up [tour] and head home [to record]. 8)
My dollar bets the Perfessor will be the roving road warrior reporter for this show.

I was browsing the Internet for videos from the Rough Trade era and came across this vintage photo.

WHOA. Great find!
LafayetteParticipantAmazing news Lu will be inducted in Louisiana Music HOF. What an honor!

Can you top the lafayette 5th row plateau, Mark?
I am afraid I cannot, Roger. Quite impressive, Lafayette! The best I could do was 2nd row of the balcony.
Wow. Interesting. I was online and processed as soon as the link went live not realizing how lucky I was to grab these seats.

Row 4, center stage.
Don’t you feel like you have conquered the world pulling great tickets to a Lucinda show?

Center. You forgot “center.” 😀
LafayetteParticipantYessss! I would love to update setlist.fm as precisely as possible. I still have several shows to input [thanks to Lu historian lwj for tagging show numerically with date] PLUS perusing Lu’s set lists makes one pine over missed shows. It’s semi sadistic but in a good way.
LafayetteParticipantGreat video, lwj! It certainly captures the essence that is Angela.
The show was great last night. 3 sets. The last one was very short, but in speaking to Angela and her front man, Chris, during a break, they decided to play “Jackson,” after much Lucinda discussion. Angela counts Lu as one of her influences. Much admiration. Wanda Jackson as well.
