Thanks, Viv! I would love to wear my Lucinda endorsed Old Gringo’s, however, we have a dress code mandate (still waiting to hear if I can wear jeans 😕 ). I guess they want us to look good for the man. Actually, not only a dress code, but a rehearsal as well. We have to be at the studio mid afternoon. I think they are going to shuttle us (as if we don’t already know where it is 😀 ), feed us lunch, and then the show goes on at 9:00 p.m. EST.
I’m still freaking. I couldn’t eat earlier and now I’m binging on chocolate. 😮
ZOMG!! I was just invited to attend an exclusive event at John Mellencamp’s recording studio for a one hour broadcast show with iHeart Radio and AXS TV, promoting his new record “Plain Spoken.” This show will be broadcast on AXS TV at 9:00 p.m. EST.
Lucky for me I live fairly close to the studio. They were looking for super fans within driving distance, with only 20 fans being invited to this private event.
Pinch me. What a week it’s been for me, between Lu’s Nashville show and now this invite, minus the speeding ticket I was tagged for the other day – I just find it hard to cry my way out of a ticket. Can’t even attempt it.

I’m sorry you were so annoyed by the night’s events.
I actually had someone hand my car keys to me, as I valet parked, and then realized on the drive home I forgot to pay for my parking and tip the attendants. I’m going to contact management and send payment and a tip.
Ah, yes, the cab/merlot blend. LOVE! I hope they sell bottles and I have someone to split it with on my return to the Music City.
Speaking of love, y’all can imagine my excitement when Amos stepped onto the stage to sit in with Lu! Two of my favorites, together again, even if for a song or two. Such a great night.

Hey Viv, a little late on this footage, but here is Lu performing “Plan To Marry” the night of her wedding.
Lu is out and about at the AMA’s this weekend. I saw a photo posted last night on twitter – she sat in with Jim Lauderdale – smiles all around on stage. 8)
