I was trying to post Mavis Staples tweet she had fun with her gurlz last night, and she wasn’t referencing her chest. 😯 She had mentions including EmmyLou, Lu, Patty Griffin, Sheryl Crow, Sara Watkins, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
That lineup right there is mind blowing.

Stoger and I attended Angela’s Dec 19 show at a small bar near OSU in her hometown of Columbus, OH. Also in attendance were two of my Mellencamp buds, both local to the Ohio capitol.
Noah Wotherspoon opened the show, knocking out some fantastic blues licks on his guitar.

She had a great crowd for her holiday show and premiered a new song or two. Good stuff.
I’m looking forward to 2015 for Angela. She signed on with booking agent and has been in the studio recording a new record. The world is her oyster.
