    Oh, one more addition.

I can’t remember after which song Lu was mulling, out loud, that entire ‘finding a category to fit her in,’ but she surmised she should be considered a ‘rocker’ or ‘rock n roller.’

    I concur.

Thanks, tonyg, for posting the setlist. Although I was seated in the comfortable Loft before the show, I moved downstairs by the stage near Cindy and tonyg for much of the music. Good meeting all the folks mentioned by tonyg.

Note that Wednesday’s show is also sold-out, and that Lucinda’s band will play the opening set. The KBB returns Thursday night in Pomona. Although Lucinda’s band uses the name Buick 6, the Troubadour website links Buick 6 to the European band with that name.

    Cindy? Cindy? Not our “Lafayette”/cindy?

I’m guessing she is in her 50’s… 🙂

A little trivia. The first time I met Lu she told me she told me she answered to Cindy. I suppose Cindy Williams wasn’t going to cut it with her as her ‘stage’ name. Now she answers to ‘rocker.”

Almost a week after the fact but checking in.

I had a wonderful time hanging with the Cali contingent AND the road warrior from the Volunteer State. Dinner in the suburbs was truly fantastic (my sister was correct in mentioning the Brazilian servers were really hot), even by flashlight/dim candlelight. The welcome mat was truly rolled out, and it was great meeting tonyg, stellablue, and again seeing grumpymama and paul. The big surprise of the night, while sipping a drink pre show with the Cali contingent around the corner from the venue, was watching stoger stroll in. He informed me a few weeks prior he wouldn’t be making it to the shows. I was so happy to see him!

As mentioned, the venue was fine. I thought the sound was good, it wasn’t so hot inside I was uncomfortable, and the guys working check in were very helpful. So much for the disgruntled YELP reviews.

WOWZA on the setlist. So perfect for me to hear Are You Alright? Incredible show.

Thanks, again, y’all for the hospitality.

Lafayette, I think your sister lives in the town next to mine. We can car pool if you want! I think her Grumpyness is going too. 8)

Okay, I missed this last time I was able to peruse the forum. The PC has been in the shop for the past week and a half and I prefer Lu browsing with the big screen.

YES, tonyg, I would LOVE to car pool with you! I could even drive if you need a designated driver. I’m going easy on the drinking with all the work my sister will have me doing. I’ll FB DM you my info. 8)

Nope, nope, no side stage for Miranda. Apparently, she was dancing in the aisles with the rest of you…

I really enjoyed reading this article/review/observation along with this interesting analogy.

“Their interaction had the air of a gifted minnow paying tribute to the mother-fish; had Lu not spent years swimming upstream in a mucho macho pond, the waters wouldn’t be so placid for Miranda today.”

I’m guessing they were sidestage during the show?

Here is a photo Miranda posted on her FB page with a copy by Lu on hers followed by the caption Miranda posted, including hashtags. #socialmedia

My band and I got to see Lucinda Williams last night and meet her for the first time. Such a sweetheart!! Great show! ‪#‎inspired‬ ‪#‎theneptuneseattle‬ ‪#‎badass‬

Thanks for the report ❗ and here’s to your recovery from 3 shows in a row.

Apparently, you missed Miranda Lambert?? One of the KBB brethren reported she was at the show last night!

Yes, and from my understanding, John’s camp was pretty excited with the mention, as only one can imagine.

I’m not sure if this is a submission to be picked OR the pick that was submitted. Found on twitter.

Excellent concept. I hope this will be the official video for ‘Protection.”

Awesome, grumpy!! I look forward to seeing you, again!

Yikes, I’ve been reading some reviews on Yelp regarding The Regent and they aren’t all that great. Bad acoustics, standing in long lines for entrance and alcohol, and horrible ventilation. Perhaps this will be another show Lu asks who she has to f*ck to get a fan. 😮 😆

I’ll have to buy you a drink, tonyg and carry said round, all in the name of keeping you upright rather than supine.

Ha, I wonder if there was grinding/arguing about Lu and/or place jumping/beer throwing involved? Those were my experiences with fighting breaking out that I was involved in…Columbus, OH and Asheville, NC. Good times.
