I’m late to the party. Life has been getting in the way, but in a good way. I’ve been missing the FF.

YAY for new music! I’m looking forward to “The Ghosts of Highway 20,” especially after hearing the title song in Nashville at the CMHOF. Tom Overby, you’re genius, and Lu is very lucky to have you as her life partner in marriage and in music, and I know the feeling is mutual. You both make a great team, and your guidance, nudging Lu along the way, has given us some incredible memories, both sonic and with live shows. Rock on, and thanks for keeping her in our life!

Belated congratulations to you, DWO, on your retirement!

I, too, love the vintage charm of old style marquees over the cold, LED flashing light display.

    Signed,

On the age scale, perhaps I’m in the middle?

We appreciate all your postings, Tom. I was hoping Viv or Lafa might have been in attendance at one or more, but I believe they couldn’t swing those, as I could not either.

I couldn’t make Cleveland, too much travel in the month of September to ask for additional kitchen passes. HOWEVER, you have no idea how much I want to take off for Philly (Amos Lee surprise appearance, perhaps???!) but can’t make that either. I may throw caution to the wind and go to the Pittsburgh show, although I prefer GA (Philly) over seated (Pittsburgh). Pittsburgh not near the drive as Philly.

If I were a betting woman, I would say stoger is fairly happy with your embellishments, Viv!

I’m so happy your (R)October is getting off to a much better start than your birth month. Rock on, sister.

I nominate this POST OF THE YEAR.

…and back to the origin of this thread.

Mike, YES, I did catch the ‘debut(s)’ of Ghosts of Highway 20, both at the CMHOF (staying with the acronym theme of this thread) and on Periscope in NOLA. I know you’ve mentioned Periscope before, but I have TO to thank for quickly showing me the app while in Nashville.

It’s a very cool, and of the 174 I follow on twitter, Lu’s account is by far the the one utilizing it the most.

Numerous Trump supporters lined the streets of my neighborhood on the day of the debate. I had to run them over with my car.

P.S. For the uninitiated (everyone else but Stoger and Tim), the Reagan Library is up the hill from my abode.

    Ahem, I knew that…. 🙂

    I heart you, stoger.

Always keeping the FF in the loop.

Hope you are on the mend, Viv.

I think this version has a Stray Cats feel. Anyone?

The list is a hodge podge, its sequence is difficult to decipher, unless one was there. I’m still in awe of the show we witnessed.

Wowza, Lefty, a day late and a dollar short, I hate when that happens. It sounds like your trip with Mrs. Lefty was fantastic. I love Nashville. I never had time to tour any of the exhibits. It was a very quick trip for me.

The gentleman that procured this set list allowed a few of us to take pictures.

There’s little for me to add with the posting of the “No Depression” review – a wonderful, detailed summary of an amazing show I was privileged to witness. The company pre-show was fantastic as well. The FF was well represented, it was great to see you once again, stoger and Viv.

One thing not mentioned (I think) was the introduction of “Something About What Happens When We Talk.” Lu said Rosanne specifically asked if she would play that song. Lu, as noted in the ND review, was overcome with emotion several times, specifically after Emmylou had sung. I think she said something along the lines of “that voice.”

This photo was posted to Lu’s FB page. Viv, I suppose, according to the ND review, you were a day late and a dollar short on arriving at the pre show reception with the Reba and Trisha sightings as reported in ND.
