The most haunting song was If My Love Could Kill, a sad song about the death of a father. The disc 2 closer was a departure from the mood and sound of the rest of the record.
The record is an emotional experience and quite different from the last one. When the music ended I opened my eyes and I was home, in bed. Maybe it never happened?
Listen to “If My Love Could Kill!”

LafayetteParticipantWahooooooo!!!!
I can’t make many, but, Philly may be calling my name as well as Chicago. Cleveland, once again, not going to work. In the past, I’ve missed seeing her at the Music Box, twice.
How I would LOVE to be in NYC for 5 days. *swoon*
LafayetteParticipantI forgot about High Road touring. 😮
Wahoooo!

On the age scale, perhaps I’m in the middle?
Ha: I wouldn’t be too sure of that, my Ohio friend.
Say what??!

LafayetteParticipantWhere are the ‘thumbs up’ emoticons when you need them?? 8)
LafayetteParticipantYes, yes, and more yes on a 2016 tour, stateside!
A happy and healthy New Year to everyone here in the FF.
Enjoy your Chris Stapleton show, Viv. SO JEALOUS!
LafayetteParticipantI found a YouTube posting of the song, with introduction and short backstory of the song.
I love the premise of the song. I’m going to have to listen a few more times as I’m not there yet on the vocals.

I recorded it and posted to YouTube with backstory.

Thanks for posting! Looks to be a stellar line up.
LafayetteParticipantI cannot wait for new music.
Interesting on possible move back to Nashville – only 4 1/2 hours from me = opportunities to see more shows??! 8)
LafayetteParticipantSo, did you tune into the CMA’s, lwj?
Yes, I did make it to Farm Aid in Sept. and it was amazing! Great show, Imagine Dragons BLEW me away. Many great bands, the weather cooperated, and I visited with my brother.
LafayetteParticipantI’m late to the party. Life has been getting in the way, but in a good way. I’ve been missing the FF.
YAY for new music! I’m looking forward to “The Ghosts of Highway 20,” especially after hearing the title song in Nashville at the CMHOF. Tom Overby, you’re genius, and Lu is very lucky to have you as her life partner in marriage and in music, and I know the feeling is mutual. You both make a great team, and your guidance, nudging Lu along the way, has given us some incredible memories, both sonic and with live shows. Rock on, and thanks for keeping her in our life!
Belated congratulations to you, DWO, on your retirement!
