ParticipantProtection from last night’s show. Lu looked to be in great spirits straight out of the gate.

Participant“And she even covered burning rock, playing electric guitar on “Out of Touch” and the Hendrix-blues song “Unsuffer Me,” on which her phrasing had obvious Dylan overtones.
But that was fine. If there ever was an artist who is authentically carrying on the legacy of Guthrie and Dylan, it’s Williams. The title track of her new disc is the female, older version of Dylan’s “Desolation Row,” with verse after verse bringing her close to the societal Apocalypse. She performed it alone and acoustic, and got huge applause afterward.”

Oh, I just had an inkling this would happen if he was in town! Enjoy tonight and thanks for the report!
The music critic live tweeting the show mentioned he would have a review up today. I’ll post if I catch it.

Participanttonyg, your reports are golden.
Finale from this show. A Change is Gonna Come. Nothing less than amazing.

ParticipantTO…I see the original link on FB for the Ryman show was deleted and the new link doesn’t mention Amos Lee on the bill. Does this mean what I think it means?? 😕

So the March/April/May tour ends in Nashville at this place called the Ryman -has anybody ever heard of it? 😮
The perfect venue for the perfect artist! It would be WONDERFUL if there were a fan presale, perhaps even prior to the venue presale and the other myriad presales 🙂
Happily, Ticketmaster and Lu’s Facebook page note that there will be a fanclub presale on Weds, Mar 9th at 10am, for the May 8th show at the storied Ryman (with Amos Lee!!!). THE PASSWORD IS HIGHWAY20. My fingers will be poised over my keyboard at 10am Central tomorrow!

Z O M G!!!
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
I was so bummed about missing the Philly show tomorrow for 3 reasons. Lucinda, World Cafe (I’ve always wanted to see a show there), and I had high hopes Amos would be dropping in for a song or two.
Lu and Amos together again will be the highlight of my spring.
Happy Dance!!!!
I’m now nixing the Nelsonville show and opting for this one!
PLUS, TNT posted on FB he wants to go and would like for me to buy him a ticket.
Yahooooooo!!!!
Lafayette
ParticipantI’m officially disappointed – all psyched to make the 9 hour drive to Philly for Wednesday’s show at World Cafe AND…my husband was just told he’s needed in New York on business.
So, I’m now going to the Nelsonville show. 🙂

Just got word that we will be announcing on Fri.
Okay, well Willie is still revered in Texas. 😀 😉
Okay, next guess, Steve Earle, but something tells me, from the tease in your ‘voice,’ it’s much larger.
