There are those Lyons, Co dates on High Road Touring’s Page Aug 19-21
Just announced on FB, Ocean City, NJ Aug 29 ( If any one has the presale code, sharing would be nice )
Anyone got any clues, ideas, information ?I missed this announcement. This was from Lu’s official page??
LafayetteParticipantThanks for all the reports, much appreciated. The FF is representing at these shows!
Chicago bound, I am, and looking forward to it. I still haven’t gotten over missing Philly. đż
LafayetteParticipantBOOM! Angela was compared to Lucinda in this write-up in “Songwriting.’
‘Homemade Vision’ by Angela Perley And The Howlinâ Moons (Album)
LafayetteParticipantThanks, Mike.
Aaaaahhhh…2 Kool made the set list!
LafayetteParticipantGreat recap, Viv! Thanks for all the reports!
Lu’s right, she’s mentioned a few times on said ‘can’t mention names’ site…
“Are You Alright” gets me every time.

From T.O.:
Night two saw three more new song debuts, (highlighted in blue) and everyone was happy with how they sounded on the first live play. We loved having Amos back again and it was a real spontaneous addition that he also sang on Sam Cookeâs Change Is Gonna Come. Were back stage talking during Joy and I said to Amos âHey do you know Change is Gonna Come?â and he said âthe Sam Cooke version or the Otis Redding version?â to which I said âok, you gotta do itâ. And he just went out and killed it. That song was made for the two of them. Lu could hardly contain herself watching him sing his verses.
Thank you Philly for kicking off the tour in the best possible way.
Yessss, on the Amos doing A Change Is Gonna Come, as I mentioned in another thread, he has performed it many times, including an Obama rally in 2008, I think at the 4th of July event he performed at the White House in 2011 (but I could be wrong on that), etc etc.
Here is that Obama rally. Video quality isn’t the best, but you certainly catch the spirit of the song.
LafayetteParticipantIt’s going to be rocking in the Big Apple. Enjoy Viv!
LafayetteParticipantChicago will hopefully be nice and not too windy come April. đ
LafayetteParticipantGreat reports! Must be spring break for you, stoger?
Whoa. Lucinda mentioned Amos from last week? BOOM! I could see that. I’ve watched several amazing versions she has performed, and I know Amos has covered “A Change Is Gonna Come” many times. I saw him perform it at a Farm Aid fundraiser. I wish I could have witnessed it live.
Carry on, road warriors. We’re living vicariously through you.

You two are a tag-team, D and D. My god “Can’t Close the Door” was played! The line “it ain’t no thingit’s just a little teardrop” haunts my days, my nights, my in-betweens. Please in New Haven!!?!!?!?
Next best thing?
“Can’t Close The Door”
LafayetteParticipantThat’s as near a perfect set list for me. 2 Kool added to that mix…perfection!
I would like to thank edtyre1 for all the high quality videos he uploaded from both nights. It certainly helps with missing that first night. đ
LafayetteParticipantLittle Angel, Little Brother
LafayetteParticipantProtection from last night’s show. Lu looked to be in great spirits straight out of the gate.
LafayetteParticipant“And she even covered burning rock, playing electric guitar on âOut of Touchâ and the Hendrix-blues song âUnsuffer Me,â on which her phrasing had obvious Dylan overtones.
But that was fine. If there ever was an artist who is authentically carrying on the legacy of Guthrie and Dylan, itâs Williams. The title track of her new disc is the female, older version of Dylanâs âDesolation Row,â with verse after verse bringing her close to the societal Apocalypse. She performed it alone and acoustic, and got huge applause afterward.”
