Lefty, has this photo (and/or gallery) been making the rounds over on the BD forums? This particular one, from the Round Rock, TX show, is AMAZING. I’m not sure how the photographer got this shot(s) of Dylan and company, as they typically don’t have permission, from my understanding, to shoot or videotape his performances. I’ve included link to full gallery.

In regards to the Chicago shows, my brother lives in the area, and his thoughts on the Park West venue are:

“The Park West is a great venue. Really not a bad seat in the place. Has more of a supper club layout, meaning the floor terraces up, and is wider rather than longer. It is in Lincoln Park, which is a nice area.”

Are there seats there? I was under the impression it was GA.

I can’t decide which one I’d prefer for the Lu shows. Normally I would say GA all the way, but since I have to work and then drive 2.5 hours to get there, reserved seats would give me a better chance to get close…

Here is the seating chart link and information on capacity, etc from the website. A seating chart is provided, however, it is not eye friendly for those needing reading glasses. I couldn’t tell you if a GA floor is an option.

Yes, I will be deferring, stoger! All in the name of LU (and Farm Aid 😉 ). Excited to hear you can make Chicago as I cannot make NYC. I am actually waiting on surgery (as it isn’t life threatening, only life altering) until after the LU shows. I did find out yesterday surgery won’t be as extensive as originally thought so recovery should be easier. I won’t be able to make St. Louis with doing Chicago, so I am choosing at least one, maybe two shows for Chitown. We will have to try to squeeze in a trip to Chess Records if you’re up for it (and Tom and Sarah, too, if they come.)

Thanks so much, stoger, for your impeccable reporting, our eyes and ears of this summer’s tour abroad. Of course, thanks to all the enthusiastic posters that also contributed. Lefty’s international plea was fulfilled.

    Safe travels to all.

Lefty, will be a busy week for me, between Lu’s show in Btown and an honest attempt to catch the HB on Friday at Midpoint. Thanks for the post!

In addition to the St. Louis show Lafayette discovered at HRT & the Milwaukee show Disco Stu posted about, one other new show has been slipped into the schedule between San Francisco & Greensboro, NC in Bloomington, IN (2 hour 45 minute drive, eh. Lafayette? 😉 )[

Oh WOW! You have no idea, tnt, on this show in Bloomington, IN at the Bluebird! This is a club where Mr. Mellencamp (his adopted hometown) would drop in for impromptu shows. One infamous show, Lou Reed was scheduled to play Farm Aid. He was in Bloomington with JM, and they stopped in The Bluebird, unnannounced, to practice. I have seen several accounts from people that happened to be there, saying it was the best show they have ever witnessed.

I am so going to this show, hopefully bringing along some JM fans (from surrounding area) with me! I’ve been going back and forth on the Chicago and St. Louis shows, still trying to decide and still may go to those, but at some point I need to squeeze in some surgery that will have me down and out in paradise for 4 – 6 weeks. Tentatively, I was planning the surgery for first week in September, but this show changes the game plan!

TO, if Lu is up for it and interested, you should schedule a visit to John’s studio, very close to The Bluebird, as I’m sure you know, or take her to Little Nashville to shop 🙂 . I’m ready to help with doing street team duties to advertise the show. I have posters left over from her Covington show and have friends that live in Bloomington. I will enlist their help to hang them around Btown and hopefully at IU as well.

    I am STOKED!

is it my impression or in concerts lucinda doesn’t play “are you alright?” often?

i’ve also never seen “mama you sweet” in a setlist.

She has played both of these songs. Not sure on frequency, but, yes she has played them. “Mama You Sweet” is a personal song for me.

How exciting, for Lu, AND the fans, if this is, indeed, true.

The writer here gives props to JM, CB.

Lefty (you so rock!) thank you for the arrow point to this article I’m finding, through past reviews and tweets, (yes, tweets 😀 ) JM (and his band) have been receiving very postive remarks on this tour. I would guestimate about 90 percent positive. It’s actually quite refreshing to see!

Yesterday, while perusing the streets of Gatlinburg (vacation), I noticed a music store with a lot of cool show posters in the window. The one that caught my eye was Johnny Cash, June 25,1986 at Radio City Music Hall with special guests Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson. Tickets were $15. Bob and Willie apparently have been hanging for many years on the show circuit,
