Tony, you may have to come out of the cave and play.

2 posts just came thru from Lu ( one a tweet from Utrecht). Maybe she hasn’t thrown in the towel. Webmasta (gatekeeper of the iphone), why the delay on these tweets? I wonder if the twitter cyber attacks a few weeks ago are the issue at hand?

HappyWoman9 Hey! Here I am! Hello, hello, hola, hola! Greetings from Lucinda in Utrechtp, Holland.

Last night’s show sparked several Lucinda twitter shout outs and other related show details. I’m including some Elvis tweets given it sounded like an incredible show.

heshelman: Elvis Costello w/ Lucinda Williams, Tbone Burnett, playing Not Fade Away, The Race is On and Friend of the Devil. Channeling bluegrass Dead!

bodie08: Elvis Costello & Lucinda Williams at the Greek, absolutely awesome.

annmariesolar: Just got back from seeing Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams at the Greek Theatre. Wow!

nugsnet: Elvis Costello at The Greek – great cover of Friend of the Devil with Jerry Douglas+Jim Lauderdale. Plus Happy from Exile w Lucinda Williams

Heat3333: Just saw THE best concert I have been to. Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams at the Greek. SO moving, both in incredible form.

toddkush: Elvis Costello played with T-Bone and Lucinda , covered Elvis, the Dead, the Stones and the Velvet Underground…HOLY CRAP THAT WAS GREAT

drewmatich: @TheUncertainty Tremendous. Amazing country/bluegrass band, duets w/Lucinda Williams, and great new interpretations of old classics

Heat3333: Elvis Costello did a version of Everyday I Write the Book tonight with Jim Lauderdale that just slayed. Beautiful harmony, still shaking.

I found this gem searching for Elvis tweets. EXCELLENT video from last night’s show featuring Tbone Burnett and glimpses of Jim Lauderdale.

Will you be giving us a full report, tonyg?

Break a leg, tomorrow, Lu. How exciting to be performing with Elvis Costello! You need to ask him if Dylan habitually likes to roam the streets randomly when out on tour. 😆

I listened to the YouTube link you provided. Thanks, tnt, for posting. Lu’s voice is incredible and beautiful on this song.

It all comes full circle for me with Lu and JM. I consider Lu to be in my top 5 artists I love and admire along with, of course, JM and also Amos Lee. John Prine is one of Amos’s major influences ( I believe he opened some shows for JP in the beginning of his musical journey) and JM admires and I am sure lists Prine as an influence as well. They worked together in 1991 on JM’s first directorial and acting debut “Falling From Grace.” Prine had a role in the movie as well. It is not on my list for recommended viewing. In my opinion, JM should just stick to the music and painting. 😯 A FFG soundtrack was released, with John Prine’s “All My Best” included, which, all in all, is far better than the film.

Agreed, Lefty! Certainly, the photo choice was not the best. Neil, perhaps, should always wear a hat on stage, just in case…

Thanks, Tom! I had signed up for the mailing list, but so far, nothing from them in regards to these shows. It’s a GA show but I would still like to purchase tickets.

A dispute with a LONE blogger from the former Soviet republic of Georgia has caused the disruption.

I have noticed Lu has not been active on her twitter account. Perhaps she decided it’s just not for her.

I wrote a blog a few days ago regarding Mr Mellencamp and following his tour via tweets.

    Stevarino,

I’ll PM you after school starts.

You should consider going to St. Louis, it’s a weekend and looks to be the last show of this scheduled leg.
