It’s all request Friday morning on WNKU. I’ll be calling my “Buttercup” request in tomorrow, even if it hasn’t been added. I have a sticky note on my PC to remind me. Yes, it’s coming to that for me. Reminders.

Sorry but the Harrah’s show isn’t happening and not been discussed so I don’t know where that would’ve came from. If we were to do another show in New Orleans it would be the next night.

Damm*t. Lu’s appearance is on the other end of our scheduled trip. Yes, as luck would have it I am there the weekend of Amos & JM, however, my husband will not be up for hanging the entire weekend at NOLA Jazz Fest. Not sure how things are going to roll, if we go at all. We are staying on Bourbon Street though, I’ll be there for 3 days the weekend BEFORE Lu. I would really, believe it or not, prefer to see Amos & Lu in New Orleans…shhh, don’t tell my JM friends.

Today, I tuned into my favorite NPR station to hear my favorite music host talking about Gurf & Lucinda as he had just spun a Blaze Foley cover by Gurf. He was chatting about Steve Earle recording at Belmont Mall (JM’s studio) and then launched into a Larry Crane tune (guitar extraordinare for JM back in the day). I was hoping for a JM tune after that BUT had to exit car to continue running errands. I just looked at the playlist and apparently he spun JM before the Blaze tune and Steve & Lucinda (You’re Still Standing There) before JM. My guy was jamming today.

Anyway, was anyone aware of this Blaze Foley cover record by Gurf?

Amos in the LA area Jan. 27 at the Music Box. A Lucinda Williams appearance? I would bet it would make his 2011. Just sayin’.

I listened to the clips on amazon and it does sound amazing. I have heard most of the songs live at shows I’ve managed to go to, except “Clear Blue Eyes,” “Jesus,” & “Out Of The Cold.” Looking forward to hearing the recorded versions.

lwj ~ The pressure. Chez Lafayette, as I know it, is not nearly as quaint and picturesque as featured on website. We have birds, though, ones that like to perch and nest on a retractable awning over our deck.

Good heads up on opening act.

I wonder if my better half will understand multiple Lucinda William’s “Blessed” purchases?

Very happy to take your call, tnt, while shopping at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, to book you into Chez Lafayette. So glad you were given a kitchen pass. You & Stoger can now alternate riding shotgun, watching for deer as we head to & from Brown County, IN.

I’ll stock up on wine & chocolates.

Oops…should have suggested you send it to me, privately. I already have the album pre-ordered, otherwise, wouldn’t have suggested as such.

I can’t detect Lu’s voice, I guess we will have to wait until record release day.
