Among his heroes: Lee has found some of his strongest support from fellow singer-songwriters. He recently toured with one of his musical heroes, John Prine. “He invited me on stage to sing Paradise with him and play his guitar, that Martin he’s had forever,” Lee says.” Bob Dylan once asked Lee to join him and Elvis Costello to perform I Shall Be Released. And Mission Bell features duets with Willie Nelson and Lucinda Williams. “These are people I grew up listening to,” Lee says. “These are people whose records I had before I could even play a C chord.”

ParticipantF*cking goosebumps watching Lu & Bo. Thanks for sharing, lwj, as I hadn’t made it to facebook yet.
Oh, could it be possible? Bo Ramsey as possible (permanent) guitarist?
Lafayette
ParticipantI’ve recently started getting my “orders” to help promote Lu on the Lost Highway Records Street Team. Complete 5 orders and get a free copy of “Blessed.” If I earn a copy, I plan on having Lu sign that one and the one on pre-order will be my CD to use and abuse.
Lafayette
Participantmrm ~ Thanks for sharing your “Blessed” experience. Truly touched by your story of survivorship.
Lafayette
ParticipantI’ll tick the “like” button on the caricature (and the preview). Uh Huh.

ParticipantElvis is coming to Cincinnati. Interesting show description. Anyone caught this show?
Elvis Costello and the Imposters have announced “The Revolver Tour” during the merry month of May. The tour makes its way to Cincinnati, OH at the Taft Theatre on May 16.
For the first time in 25 years, Costello will let his set-list be chosen by ”The Spectacular Spinning Songbook”, a monumental game-show wheel that features 40 song-titles, including hits, rarities and very unexpected covers.
Audience members will be invited onstage where they may spin “The Wheel” and then be offered a chance to enter the “Hostage to Fortune Go-Go Cage”, while their selection is performed.
Alternatively, they may choose to take a seat in the on-stage “Society Lounge”, where light refreshments will be served, during what promises to be a splendid and surprising evening.
The original Wheel was famously donated to the Hartlepool Museum Of Showbusiness Machinery but it has been meticulously reconstructed from the original blueprints.
The Imposters are: Steve Nieve (keyboards); Pete Thomas (drums) and Davey Faragher (bass).

ParticipantOh, so sorry you missed JM. Truly a fantastic show and one I wish you could have experienced!

ParticipantI recorded “Port Arthur” in its infant phase, when at that time she titled the song “Difficult Child.” She had just finished writing it 10 minutes before she hit the stage, as the story goes, in Cleveland, at the Janis Joplin tribute show, part of the RNR HOF series. This version is missing a verse. I forgot the reason as to the exclusion. I think tnt knows the story behind the missing verse.

Congratulations, Lu, on your nomination this year. I agree with West Words. Next year will be your year.

ParticipantHere is this past Tuesday’s OTR interview with my favorite music host on WNKU 89.7. Lucinda is mentioned right at the beginning of this interview where her influence and joining OTR in the studio are discussed.
Lafayette
ParticipantOH, no, lwj! I hope you make it to the second show.
Lafayette
ParticipantI’m loving the whole “Blessed” concept, .ie. the album covers and the video which reminds me of David Lynch’s “Interview Project.”
