Trying to decide–and constantly changing my mind depending on what song I’m currently listening to–which one Lucinda ought to perform if she does…I think “Convince Me.”

I concur. I’ve been saying, of late, it is fast becoming my favorite live performance song. She really reaches down and delivers the few times I’ve seen her play it & at SXSW as well.

    Beautiful!

Perhaps she will make a Leno appearance with her short return to LA ( I assume) before the next leg of the “Blessed” tour resumes.

A few personal notes: I love upright bass and missed it’s presence on an occasional song or two at the full band show in Asheville. I absolutely LOVE the necklace Lu is wearing.

Meh, personal jab was incorrect description – agree. A very strange and improper observation – better.

Not to mention, from this woman’s point of view, NEVER, EVAH, refer to weight 😯 😆 It’s just not cool.

We met at Chez Nora, per your suggestion from her last Northern Ky tour stop in 2009. Wonderful place.

PDL…Christgau had me until he started taking what I consider personal jabs, i.e. pondering weight & sunglasses. Commenting about her weight? Seriously? Did he ever consider those sunglasses could be prescription glasses?

    Welcome back, Stevarino.

I actually have tickets 😀 to this show! Stoger will be in attendance. Perhaps we can meet prior to the show? My schedule is very hectic from now until Cincy Lu Day.

My itunes freezes when I launch on my PC. I have googled everything trying to come up with a solution and am finding nothing. Anyone have suggestions on how I attempt to fix my problem? I’m open.

This is what I call a “combo” review of Blessed.
Not only does it focus on the new album but it also spans Lu’s many other albums in her career.

There are several live performances to listen / download to.
    It’s a great read.

Great find, especially with the available downloads.

Very cool for you, Elbee! TO has a tendency to blow many fans away with his understanding it’s all about the fans. (tnt…I chose my words wisely 😆 )

You need to report back in after your show and we would love to see pictures, too! 8)

Great job, lwj! I missed putting the name of the BBQ place in my remarks…Lucinda mentioned she was told about this place (Foley’s spelled backwards) but couldn’t come up with the pronunciation. I remember reading about Yelof’s, somewhere, but had forgotten about the article as well as the origin of the name.

Lu is one busy woman in 2011 and that’s a good thing for us!

TO…you are an incredible, fan concious manager. You’re a “Rarity.”

    Here is my wish list.

    1. Born To Be Loved – This version was reminiscent of her AMA performance, only more powerful.

    2. Convince Me – As I mentioned before, this is fast becoming a favorite of mine to see live. The
blistering guitar solos are an added bonus.

    3. Blessed – A slower number, beautiful, and should be represented as it is the title track. I
think numerous fans relate to the message of this song.

    4. Essence – Classic song. It scorched last night.

    5. Unsuffer Me – I’ve heard this several times live. Last night’s version was numero uno.

    6. Real Live Bleeding Fingers – A favorite of mine. She was playing this on the Mellencamp tour, and I
always felt the energy of the crowd pick up on this one.

    7. Drunken Angel – Austin:represented. Lu mentioned last year at one of her CA shows this song was the
most requested song when facebook requests were the soup du jour.

    8. Pineola – Another classic. A must on my list.

    9. Buttercup – This would be my last choice of the Blessed songs but would love to see it included. It’s the first single, a bad boy song, (I love it when she kicks her bad boys to the curb), probably more recognizable among the new songs, so DUH it should be on iTunes. I’m being selfish. I want to hear the more ‘obscure’ numbers, like “Convince Me” 😀
