He was absolutely great. I was really looking forward to the show as it was, and Stuart Mathis was an absolute revelation. He played within the songs, but tore it up effortlessly when the song allowed for it. No knock on any of the other players, but I would absolutely seek out any performance that includes him. Seriously, I’d put the 3rd and Lindsley performance right up there with Mick Taylor and Jeff Beck.
