KaesParticipant
Yes…at the Shea Center in NJ…..thanks….
KaesParticipantLucinda’s Artpark show was one of the best shows I have seen in a long, long time. The performance was far more relaxed than her performance at the University of Buffalo back in the spring. Vocally she really hit her stride after three or four songs. The set list, unless I’m mistaken, only had one song off of West. The rest of the material, as she said, was meant to appeal to the number of kids at the show – in other words, she rocked out. She played a lot of stuff of Car Wheels and four or so blues numbers.
She looked like she had a lot of fun on stage. She seemed genuinely honored to share a stage with Charlie Louvin. Quite simply a perfect performance. Even my wife, who likes Lucinda but is not a big live music fan, was rockin’ out.
Her band is amazing. Doug Pettibone may be the most visible for his stage work, but what she does would not be possible without each member. The only band that can hold a candle is Dylan’s touring band.
Thanks Lucinda. Come back soon!!!
KaesParticipantThe Buffalo show was excellent – one of the best concerts I’ve seen, not just by Lucinda, but by anybody. The band was excellent and Lucinda was engaged and on fire. I don’t care about vocal flubs (seriously, I’ve seen upwards of 20 Dylan shows…..I can assure you I’m immune to blown lyrics at this stage), words are unimportant if they are not delivered with their due respect, and aside from two flubs, Lucinda gave every word treatment that no other singer could deliver; in the end, that’s far more important.
Come on back Lu!!!!!!!
