Wow, I am blown away by her cover of Masters of War – at once angry and beautiful. I’m at a loss of for words, further description may actually cheapen it. Go Lu.

No since in passing up Buffalo while you’re so close in Feb/March. About an hour away Sheas or the Town Ballroom would be a great treat to Buffalo fans (especially ones that were very inconveniently out of town during the Massey Hall performance).

The price of the three disc set is offensive. Westerberg put out an album of new music for $.49 and it is excellent. Sony wants $130 -150 for three discs.

I’ve been sending them nasty messages through their website, not that it will do any good. But there are enough angry people out there where I can find some article from someone who is offended every few days and post the address in a message. I’d have better luck lobbying Congress than Sony.

Buffalo would love to see her again. And yes, I do have authority to speak for the entire city. We have a great historic Theatre here, Shea’s, that she was listed inadvertently as coming to last year. Turned out it was a NJ show for a similarly named venue. She should come play at the real deal. Saw Bob and Merle Haggard there three years ago – it was outstanding.

WHOOOHOOOO!!!!! That’s great news. I am more than willing to wait years in between Lucinda releases, but am even happier not to wait!!

It’s on mine. But maybe there was a snaffu w/ some discs and it’s not on yours. Even if this true, you realize of course, you might still be going crazy.

Hey Inside Job. Got my cd’s – thank you, and a big thank you to Lucinda, too. The shows are great and I’m blown away she signed both copies of the self-titled album shows!!! What a great way to treat her fans. What a great way to show the measure of her talent. They were well worth the wait. I have a lot of listening to do over the next couple days.

    Thanks, again.

Is that both LA and NY shows? My LA shows have yet to ship, too.

I think a nicely packaged commemorative box set of one or both sets of shows would be a nice offering.

If we’re talking about songs of other people that Lu has covered, mine is “Main Road” from the Sweet Relief album. There’s a soothing kinda strangeness-of-familiarity to Victoria Williams writing, and paired with Lu’s voice the song is a perfect musical experience.

Very tough, here they are for today, tomorrow this list could be radically different

    Side of the Road
    Ventura
    Everything Has Changed
    Blue
2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten (That “Hey hey” she gives….shivers down my spine…)

It’s almost a sin to rank them. Crescent City, I Lost It, Changed the Locks, Right in Time, Righteously, Fruits of My Labor, Learning How to Live, Mama You Sweet, Passionate Kisses, Sharp Cutting Wings, Am I Too Blue, Those Three Days,Sundays, Pineola, Out of Touch, Essence, Are You Alright?, Get Right With God, Jackson, Lonely Girls, Sharp Cutting Wings, Which Will, Maria, Lines Around Your Eyes, Overtime, Sidewalks of the City, Car Wheels, Honey Bee, Minneapolis, Jailhouse Tears, Like a Rose, Fancy Funeral, Bus to Baton Rouge, Greenville, etc….. Could all be there next time I write the list.

Frankly, I’d take Charlie and Larry back. Bob’s new band is great, but I was spoiled with a dozen or so shows of Charlie/Larry.
