Bloodlines was the first Lucinda song I ever heard… I watched Baby Dance on TV and was absolutely haunted by the song at the end. I had no idea who the singer was, but my un-initiated ears thought it might be Emmylou Harris, whose music I didn’t know – just knew her name. I began exhaustive online searches for an Emmylou song that sounded anything like what I heard in the film… Thanks to Baby Dance, I became in inadvertant Emmylou Harris fan… Then I saw the film on TV again a few years later and paid attention to the credits: Bloodlines. Lucinda Williams. By that time, of course, I was, thanks to Emmylou, a Lucinda fan, but what disappointment to find out that Bloodlines isn’t available ANYWHERE! If anyone ever hears of a decent-quality copy floating around anywhere on Earth, please let me know. Peace.
