Rolling Stone had a profile of Lucinda in the last issue. It mentioned a 5 song protest song EP being released 10/28 available as a download only. Bone of Contention, Master of War and I forget what else. I was really hoping I’d see it available today from the downloads section of this sites webstore.
jankaParticipantIf anyone here still has a turntable you can still get sealed copies of the original LP release from this source. http://lpnow.stores.yahoo.net/th4862.html. They also have the Passionate Kisses Ep in stock. I’m in no way affilated with them but did order a few copies for myself a year or so ago.
jankaParticipantDoes anyone know the release date for the Vinyl? I’m sure I’ll pick it up in both formats anyway but just wondering.
jankaParticipantThe Pink Floyd request did ruin Lu’s mood for a few songs. Thought it ironic she’d get pissed at that and then proceed to cover the Doors & AC/DC. Love the new band.

jankaParticipantThankfully for us in New England there is the Lowell show she’s headlining for $30. The two shows she opens in Boston for the Ford Truck commercial guy tickets are $60-$125 plus fees. That’s a little to pricey for this american fool.
jankaParticipantI found out about this show because I get email updates from the venue it’s at. Since this venue sells all the tickets themselves this gig won’t show up on ticketmaster. As for pollstar it’s up to the artist management to inform them of tours.
jankaParticipantYou can purchase the S/T LP new on vinyl from a place called lpnow.com . They have both that and the companion Passionate Kisses EP (where those 5 bonus track on the 98 re-release came from). I ordered several from them last year and they were perfect.

Well, is that response based on anything or just a thought? I think i can onl8y remember a very few instances where i’ve seen someone use lyric sheets. And i’ve seen some older guys perform too like George Jones, Willie, The Who, the Stones, etc. It just seemed really odd.
It’s more common than you think. Several artists use teleprompters that you don’t notice from the audience. They look just like any ordinary stage monitor. At least Lu is open about the fact she has them. I’d rather her have the cheat sheets then constantly flub the lyrics. Of course even with the cheat sheets she still flubs the lyrics from time to time..
jankaParticipantThanks for the setlist. I wonder if Jenny will be with the band in Boston tonight.

Very much worth going to see, she’s not just a studio talent. -
