I was also at Lucinda’s concert at Massey Hall last night, and what a treat! I found her to be happy to be there, talkative and humorous, especially when she kept messing up the first few words into one of my favourites which was actually Those Three Days. The drummer was great and Doug Pettibone fabulous, however, I think my favourite Lucinda guitarist would have to be Kenny Vaughn. And, a funny thing happend to my boyfriend and I as we were heading back home to London from Toronto today, listening to Carrie Rodrigez’s new cd. We pulled off the highway to stop at a Tim Horton’s, one that was attached to a gas station and have never stopped at before. I got out of the car to see Carrie Rodrigez and her band hopping back into their van. THey were all heading to Buffalo for the next gig with Lucinda tonight. We spoke briefly and she graciously signed our cd. Small world, huh? All in all it was a perfect birthday gift to my boyfriend.
