Considering everything it wasn’t the trainwreck that it could have been. Lucinda did not get a soundcheck because John wanted to do some additional rehearsing because it was also their first night. They ended up rehearsing until late in the afternoon. We were forewarned that this may happen earlier in the day, which we appreciated. In addition David and Doug’s departing flights were canceled at Burbank and they ended up driving to LAX thru rush hour only to have to wait until midnight to get on the redeye. They finally arrived in Miwaukee at 7am. The first half of the show went especially well and was picking up steam when a certain band member who shall remain nameless began playing Knowing while the rest of the band was correctly playing Tears Of Joy.
Unfortunately that was a momentum buster, but the rest of the night was salvaged with the last three songs. Everyone was feeling very badly with the mixups etc. Things will only get better.

It is indeed Doug with his girlfriend Liz. It was his first basketball game ever.

Honey Bee and Knowing will both be on the album. To answer the second question–probably.

Buick 6 is now the name of Lucinda’s band. They have made an all instrumental record that is just fantastic (a couple of amazing covers) and will be opening most of the headline shows this year. I don’t think anyone will be disappointed.

Actually its just the opposite. The new record which is now tenatively titled Little Honey is scheduled to be released on 9/16. The self titled will probably be bumped until Jan/Feb.

Once the new album is released in Sept., I think you will see Lucinda on the road from Sept. -Nov/Dec with breaks, in full support of it.

Yes -it will be out sometime between mid-Aug. and mid-Sept.
Lucinda spent last week in Nashville discussing the plans with Lost Highway.
More news will be coming soon.

I am told that at this point it is very unlikely there will be any shows in Europe before the end of the year. I was also told that there were a couple of offers but the logistics and timing just didn’t work out for the immediate future.
